FASHION&ARCHITECTURE

A seamless connection

Fashion and Architecture

A seamless connection

Architecture and fashion seem like unlikely bedfellows However, in more ways than one, they are cut from the same cloth

Architects and fashion designers follow similar work principles, geometry, and balance to create form, structure, and design lines. This admiration flows both ways. Sophisticated structures have been the muse for various fashion designers

Both fashion and architecture do the following: shelter human beings and are designed around their proportions they are composed of skin and structure [needle, threads, materials, columns, paneling etc ], and entrances and exits [zippers, holes, doors, windows etc ]

Hallmarks of fashion inspired by architecture include exaggerated proportions and swooping angles and particular attention to construction and shapes

Over the past few decades, Spain has produced a great number of magnificent structures, making it one of the nations with the most interesting modern architecture in the world

With the completion of Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona Pavilion in 1929, the modern architectural movement can be regarded to have begun. And throughout the 1990s, 2000s, and most recently, much more intriguing modern architecture has been constructed

The intricate design is based on the structure of natural coral, and because it is porous, it allows currents, tides, and marine life to move through it while still being a part of the surrounding ecosystem.
