Lock down extended

The Manitoba government has extended the provincial pandemic lock down on January 8 until at least January 22. “While we are starting to bend our COVID curve in the right direction, now is not the time to let up,” said Pallister. “These public health orders are necessary to halt the spread of this deadly virus and protect our most vulnerable Manitobans. While we recognize these restrictions are difficult, they require the co-operation and commitment by all Manitobans to make them work. Vaccine misinformation threatens public health efforts

While Manitoba’s pandemic lockdown has been extended until at least January 22, vaccinations have been allocated to mainly healthcare workers. Limited doses of COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Canada on December 13 with more expected in the first and second quarters of 2021.
