Volume 22 Issue 1 What’s Happening for the 21st Annual Rose It’s that time of year again...many of you may have received mailings and e-mails notifying you of our 21st annual Rose Ball weekend to be held the weekend of May 18-20 in Savannah, GA. The fun begins Friday night after check-in we will have dinner at a restaurant TBA. We have a block of reserved rooms at the La Quinta Inn located at 6805 Abercorn St. The banquet and awards ceremony will be held at the
Savannah Italian Club located on Livingston Ave. beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 19. An opportunity to dance the night away will be provided after the awards ceremony. Tickets for Rose Ball are $75 for a couple and $40 for a single. To reserve your room contact the La Quinta (912)-3553304, and request a room in the Pi Kappa Phi block, by April 18. We are regret to announce the passing of Brother Josh Williams and Brother Mike Rachels to the chapter eternal.

Brother Donnie Crume and his wife Allison are expecting their second child

Brother Jeff Doke and his wife Jennifer are expecting a child soon also.

Brother Russel Folmar has recently been named Regional Governor of the “Heart of Georgia” region of Pi Kappa Phi chapters. He and his wife Maggie have also just had their second child, and first legacy, Sean Folmar.

Brother Robbie Rainer is the new chapter advisor.
◊
Brother Jimmy Williams has recently become the new financial advisor for the chapter.
◊
Brother Lee Woodlief has become the new president of the Alumni chapter.
The alumni chapter is now in its second year of operation, and its goals are simply to promote lifelong brotherhood by provide an outlet for casual alumni interaction. There are quarterly events planned, which are centered in a location that would promote a good attendance from as many alumni as possible. Dues are $25 for the year, and this amount covers a publication (newsletter), fee to Nationals, website, and an operating budget. On our last alumni weekend EY 001 Lee Woodlief

Cow-a-dunga ‘07
Grilling before the Sandbox party Fall ‘06
In an effort to be original and create new fundraising ideas the chapter has decided to do “Cow-A-Dunga ’07” in the fall. We plan to do this in September and it will be the biggest fundraiser EY has done in recent history. The event is basically a lottery. We grid off a field and people purchase squares in the field for $10.00 a piece. The winner of the “lottery” is chosen when the cow defecates in a square! (basically if the cow squats in your square you win) Right now we are looking for all the help we can get monetarily and voluntarily. We plan to make this event an annual fundraiser, with not only the cow lottery but also a fair. We have already contacted several radio stations in the local area and secured commercial time and other great advertising capabilities through that. So if you know of anyway you can help please contact the chapter as soon a possible! Below is a list of the materials we need:
