The foundation of G5 is a totally redesigned calc-engine which allows us to build on our industry-leading innovation. Experience new ways to allocate and reallocate, leverage smarter health care data, and review plan details through a new lens. Enhanced goal funding, estate, and annuities bring even the most complex planning concepts into focus for your clients all within a friendly, familiar and engaging interface. We’re proud to introduce these new features to you on August 27th, 2018.

Redesigned Calculation Engine MoneyGuidePro’s robust calculation engine just got even more powerful. The returns in the Monte Carlo analysis are now generated based on asset class. Structure your plan presentations knowing the program’s underlying calculations can provide as much sophistication as your clients need.

New Feature:

Composite Portfolio Analysis Lock the allocation on assets you don’t advise on or choose not to reallocate, focus on those you can, and let MoneyGuideProŽ do the rest. Locking allows held-away and other segregated assets to grow at a separate rate of return, which is then blended with a target allocation to produce the adjusted risk and return in the Composite Portfolio Analysis feature. Try viewing assets multiple ways to determine the ideal allocation for your client.

Monte Carlo Individual Trial View Combined Details Show your clients the possibilities with Individual Trial Details. Analyze the plan’s best case scenario, worst case scenario and everything in between in an easy-to-read, yearby-year detail window.

Enhanced Health Care Goal We have updated our health care data source within our Health Care Goal. MoneyGuidePro® will now estimate private insurance costs prior to Medicare based on your clients’ age and state of residence. Use the Health Level category to quickly see how health status can affect your client’s out-of-pocket costs.

Provide better cost estimates by switching between multiple supplemental health care plans such as Medigap and Medicare Advantage.

Enhanced Buckets Including Cash Reserve and Aspirational Strategies When the Cash Reserve strategy is enabled, the program will fund goals from the client’s reserve in years with investment losses; when the market improves, MoneyGuidePro® will replenish their reserve. Choose a custom reserve allocation from your existing portfolios or customize the expected return.

The Aspirational Bucket is an advanced planning multi-tool.

Solve for the amount your client can withdraw from their assets for a dream goal or isolate from goal-funding to pursue an alternate investment strategy while remaining at the desired confidence target. Easily project the potential future value of Aspirational Assets within individual trials. From legacy planning to goal spending, the Aspirational Bucket helps you navigate through your client’s most difficult (and most exciting) planning questions.

Enhanced Life Insurance Needs Analysis Facilitate a more in-depth conversation about life insurance with our updated Life Insurance Needs Analysis. Create more sophisticated scenarios by adjusting the client’s planning age, the survivor’s retirement age, and required funds left to the survivors. Be more efficient by having MoneyGuidePro® calculate the remaining balance on your client’s mortgage and other liabilities. Complete the analysis by protecting dependents and incorporating the cost of a new policy.

New Asset Classes and Updated Goal Strategies: Income planning within MoneyGuidePro® has never been more powerful. Show your clients how different annuity strategies will impact their plans. Our upgraded Monte Carlo calculation engine will incorporate annual step-ups, return floors and caps, income base deferral bonuses, costs and age-based withdrawals into the Probability of Success. Within User Options, you can now incorporate these attributes based on your preferred annuity solutions.

New Default Fixed and Variable Annuities Asset Classes: These annuity asset classes are available as a default by using both historical or projected returns.
