STUDIO - OUTDOOR AC HOUSING

This one-story house with a mezzanine is designed to optimize limited space while maintaining a sense of openness. The high ceiling and mezzanine create an illusion of a larger area, enhancing spatial comfort within a compact layout. Designed as a home for a retired woman, the concept prioritizes simplicity and functionality. The industrial theme highlights raw materials, creating a clean and modern aesthetic while embracing the beauty of exposed nishes. Every design choice emphasizes low-maintenance living, ensuring a practical and effortless home environment that aligns with the owner’s lifestyle.

The house is build in a residential area surrounded by teak trees. Due to the monotonous design of buildings in the neighborhood, this renovation aims to introduce a distinct and unique character for the homeowners. The concept adopted is minimalist industrial, evident in the use of exposed brick elements and the design replacement of door and window shapes. Transparent doors and windows are incorporated to support the minimalist concept. The broad openings in the building allow ample natural light to penetrate the house.

Culture is a set of ideas, actions, and creations. Thus, culture is not just lifeless objects but the continuity of human development. Conservation works to maintain culture dynamically without forgetting the foundations laid before. In efforts to preserve culture in Sleman Regency, a Cultural Park is designed with the theme "Bentala Preservasi." "Bentala" means earth/land, and "Preservasi" means preservation; maintenance; guardianship; protection. "Bentala Preservasi" creates a space capable of conserving culture. Another concept introduced is Stilasi, where an object becomes more appealing than its original form, yet the observer remains aware of its original nature.
