ABOUT LIONS P.R.I.D.E. DAY

The Lions P.R.I.D.E. (Piedmont Research Innovation and Discovery Exhibition) Day grew out of Piedmont’s ongoing commitment to high-impact practices, such as undergraduate research and inquiry, leadership and community engagement, and global learning. These activities create engaged learning experiences.

Studies have shown that students who receive engaged learning experiences are more resilient, persist in their education, and are nimble learners. Piedmont, which has a 14-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio, is committed to providing more of these transformational educational experiences.

The Lions P.R.I.D.E. is a showcase for and a celebration of our scholarly endeavors. Throughout the day, Piedmont students will discuss their research, describe how travel study programs broadened their horizons, and perform works that inspire them.

Each of the 130 students presenting today were nominated by their professors and selected by a committee. This event showcases the best of our student work in the classroom, on the stage, and in the field.
