PICPA 76TH Annual National Convention
The COVID-19 pandemic deferred a lot of events but not the PICPA annual convention. The 76th Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants Annual National Convention and 2nd Annual National Convention done virtually was held at the Philippine International Convention Center on November 24-27, 2021. The conference has come a long way and has surpassed the various challenges, once again CPAs across our nation gather together in this meaningful event using the changing technological trends. Opening program, chapter presidents conference, sectoral breakout, and special interest sessions were held on November 24, 2021. Special interest sessions, thanksgiving mass, technical sessions and national awards were conducted on November 25, 2021. Technical sessions and regional night were held on November 25, 2021. Another series of technical sessions, closing ceremony and special interest session were held on the last day of the convention on November 26, 2021. Day 3 – November 26, 2021
Congratulations to Ms. Betty Esplana in leading the PICPA Southern Tagalog Region (STaR) FY 2020-2021 and PICPA Southern Tagalog Region as one of the Outstanding Region. Kudos as well to PICPA Southern Tagalog Region as the Grand Winner of 76th PICPA Annual National Convention PICPOP Music Festival Award (Regional Presentation).

MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES
SME & SMP Growth Series PICPA Tech Fair 2021
The SME and SMP Tech Fair was held on October 21-23, 2021. Eight (8) members of PICPA Rizal Chapter participated the event. The Tech Fair aims to empower the SMEs and SMP in innovating into the utilization of digital transformation in the practice of accounting. The main core of the fair is to accelerate growth in audit, tax, and accounting through technology.

2nd Luzon Geographical Area Office (LGAO) Conference 2021
The LGAO Conference hosted by PICPA Southern Tagalog Region in collaboration with various chapters was held on October 27-30, 2021. Seven (7) officers from PICPA Rizal participated in the Commerce and Industry, Three (3) in Government, Six (6) in Public Practice and Three (3) in Education Sector.
The 2nd Southern Tagalog Region General Membership Meeting was held on December 4, 2021. Officers from PICPA Rizal participated in the event. Updates on Continuing Professional Development Accreditation System (CPDAS) have been discussed as well the current Membership in Good Standing (MIGS). Regional, Chapter and PICPOP Music Festival awards given during the 76th Annual Convention were also presented during the meeting.
