Art Studio/Gallery ARCH109

Sunflower Rd, Lawrence, KS

The first building I designed for school is the Art Gallery and Studio space that would be at the Southwest region of campus. It would have four offices or studios, a bathroom, and a gallery on the main floor. The way that I designed the building allows for the implementation of a dugout type of bus stop that would sit in the retaining wall.

Bike Stop/Restroom ARCH208

The Airstream Bike Rest design allows for cyclists and path goers a shelter and restroom as well as housing a bike tune up station. It is inspired by RV campers and offers a view of the Kansas Prairie. The project also allows people a chance to experience the pond up close with the addition of a path.

This project is a small scale art gallery and wine bar that is constructed around an existing historic building. Said building is a previous blacksmith house turned bar. The dynamic angles in the roof are inspired by the sorts of products a blacksmith would create.

inspiration for my project was drawn from charicteristics of tongs in which blacksmiths use. This is relevant to the site the fact that it used to be a blackit also has a shape that has sharp which are similar to the sorts of that a blacksmith would create.
