A collection of muscles and tendons known as the rotator cuff are responsible for attaching the upper arm bone with shoulder blades. Injuries to the rotator cuff can happen when the muscles and tendons surrounding the shoulder get stretched or torn. These injuries result in shoulder pain, weakness, and trouble moving the shoulder. This damage can be brought on by repeated motions performed at a high level of intensity or by trauma.

Herniated Disc

When jelly-like fluid that is normally contained within a spinal disc leaks out, it can cause pain, numbness, and weakening in the surrounding nerves. The medical term for such a condition is called herniated disc. This injury can be brought on by either lifting big weights or being in a traumatic accident.

Shin Splints

Shin splints are a common type of injury that can manifest itself when the tendons and muscles of the shin become irritated and injured as a result of the inflammation.

Prevention

Exercises that properly warm up and stretch the muscles are the first line of defence against gym and workout-related injuries. In order to improve blood flow and lower the chance of injury, individually each muscle group should be stretched and completely.
