Participants are required to complete an Activity Waiver. Waivers for participants under 18 must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. Payment is due in full at the time of registration. Registration is accepted over the phone using a credit card, in person, or on-line at www.phparksandrec.org.
Payment options include VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Cash or Check made out to PHCSA. Payment plans are only accepted for Summer Camp Adventure.
Most programs require a minimum number of enrolled participants. Programs that do not reach their minimum will be cancelled, however, when PHPR must cancel a program for this reason, a full refund is provided.
A waiting list will be formed and maintained after the program has reached its maximum capacity. As spots in the program become available, people on the list will be contacted in order and offered the opportunity to register for the program.
Class Refund/Withdrawal: All Class refund or withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to the Assistant Director at least two weeks prior to the start of the class. Missed classes and scheduling conflicts do not qualify for refunds or make-ups and no refunds will be processed after the class has begun except for a medical exemption which requires a medical form signed by a doctor stating that the participant is unable to participate for the remainder of the program. All refund or withdrawal requests that meet this requirement will result in an Account Credit to the payor which can be applied toward any future PHPR program, activity or camp. All withdrawal/refunds will be assessed an administrative fee of $20.
Camp Transfer/Refund/Withdrawal: All requests must be submitted in writing to the Assistant Director at least two weeks prior to the start of the camp. All transfer/refund or withdrawal requests that meet this requirement will result in an Account Credit to the payor which can be applied toward any future PHPR camp, program or activity. All deposits will be forfeited. A documented medical or family emergency may be the only exception and all transfer/refund/withdrawal requests will be assessed an administrative fee of $20.
If inclement weather is forecasted, outdoor activities may be cancelled for the safety of participants and instructors. Staff will make every effort to contact enrollees and either prorate the program with the amount placed back on the enrollee’s Parks & Rec account or provide a make-up. Call 727.771.6000 to check on the status of the activity.
Under the guidelines of the American with Disability Act (ADA) it is the intent of PHPR to include people of all abilities in our recreation programs and activities. PHPR will make reasonable modifications for individuals with a disability so that such individuals may participate in programs and activities. If you feel you need a particular modification, please call the Centre at least 1 week prior to the start of the program. PHPR is unable to make modifications that:
• Fundamentally alter the nature of the program, service or activity.
• Would cause undue burden on PHPR.
• Would constitute a direct threat to the health and safety of the participants.
All requests for modifications are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Participants should be able to perform the following essential functions.
• Follow basic instructions associated with the program or activity.
• Function in a group structure and participate in group activities.
• Use restroom facilities independently or with the assistance of a caregiver to be retained or provided by the participant.

This local band features classic big band jazz and swing music as well as modern arrangements to popular tunes. This event is being brought to you compliments of the Palm Harbor Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

Welcome to First Mate Boating Academy led by Professional Fishing Guides. Students learn boating and fishing skills needed to assist a USCG Charter Captain and become a good First Mate. We progress students from learning boating and fishng fundamentals to achieving intermediate and advanced skills. Students earn a progression of certificates that reflect learning and experience. Skills learned include boat prep/launch/mooring, catching/ rigging live bait, rod casting, locating fish, boating safety, learning marine terminology and more. After the holiday excitement wanes, a few days away from the house could be a parent’s dream come true! Enroll your child in one of our Specialty Camps or workshops that will be offered during the school winter break. These camps will be offered with a “Wrap-Around” option for full day coverage. Unfortunately, PHPR does not provide transportation from one camp location to another. If the Specialty Camp or Workshop is not located at the Centre, transportation to/ from the Centre will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Registration for all Winter Break Camps will open on Friday, November 1. Check a Winter Break Camp flier for a complete list of all Camps and Workshops being offered along with dates, prices and additional camp information.
