bienvenidos welcome This recital ends a year full of achievements, many successes and recognitions. Our competition team, representing our entire studio, took first place in several choreographies at their regional competitions. Among the spreads to highlight, “Best Entertainment Dance”, “Best Choreography” and “Best Studio of the Year” in VIP National Competition. As well as our soloists who stood out with first place titles and “top 10” classifications.

It means a lot to me to now have 2 little ones growing up in the studio, as I became a mom for the second time this year.

For that reason, I am infinitely thankful to all the parents, students and staff of Dancinginxs, for the support, patience and commitment during the time I was absent. With more reason, every day I feel that I am in the right place and have constant satisfaction watching all of my students grow. They are an essential part of my life and the lives of my daughters, Thank you.

However, I owe the credit of all the amazing recognitions that we have had throughout the year to my team: my teachers.

You are at the heart of this studio, a team not only of friends, but also committed talented professionals whose sole aim is to give their best and their knowledge to all our students.

Thank you for giving your love and your talent and remain part of this family.

To my mom, thank you, this studio would be nothing without you. As you are a magnificent mom not only to me but for all the students as well!!!

An infinite thank you to all the mothers who have shared with me the hard work in preparation of this event. Without your help and support none of this would be possible.

And to all the parents who are present, new or those who have been with us for many years, thank you for entrusting me to your children and for your support. I promise to continue to educate them artistically and offer them many more unique moments like this every day and every year.

Un recital mas que finaliza con el logro de muchos éxitos y reconocimentos. Nuestro competition team, representando a todo nuestro estudio, puedo optener el primer lugar en varias coreografías en las competencias regionales.

Entre los premios a destacar, “Best Entretaiment Dance”, “Best Choreography” y “Best Studio of the Year” en VIP National Competition. Nuestras solistas se destacaron con títulos de primer lugar y estuvieron en el escalafón de las 10 mejores en varias de sus participaciones.

Este año ha significado mucho para mi también, tener ahora a 2 pequeñas creciendo en el estudio. Un reto ser mamá por segunda vez en esta año. Por eso, agradezco infinitamente a todos los padres, alumnas y staff de Dancinginxs, por el apoyo, la paciencia y el compromiso durante el tiempo que estuve ausente. Con mas razón siento cada día que estoy en el lugar correcto y que todos mis alumnos me dan una satisfacción constante. Son parte esencial de mi vida y de la vida de mis hijas. Gracias.

Sin embargo, el crédito de los inmensos reconocimientos que hemos tenido a través del año se lo debo a mi equipo de trabajo: mis profesores.

Ustedes son el corazón de este estudio, un equipo no solo de amigos sino de profesionales talentosos comprometidos y cuyo único objetivo es regalar lo mejor de sí y de su conocimiento a todos nuestros estudiantes. Gracias por regalar su amor y su talento y seguir siendo parte de esta familia.

Un agradecimiento infinito a todas las madres que han compartido conmigo la preparación de este evento, son la proyección de mi, y sin su ayuda y apoyo ninguna de nuestras niñas/os pudiera brillar.

Adriana Nassiff Director

teachers ADRIANA NASSIFF

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Adriana received a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications and a Masters degree in Journalism. She commenced her dancing career with ballet and flamenco at the early age of five. Due to her family roots from Lebanon, she felt compelled to begin studies in Middle Eastern dance when she was 13 years old. Adriana moved from Colombia to Miami in 2001 and throughout the past 17 years, has strengthened her dance technique in varied forms of dance by participating in several National Belly Dance Shows and by attending a myriad of intensive courses and seminars. Prior to her move to the U.S., she was a member of the flamenco company “Triana,” in Colombia from 1999 to 2001. Continuing with her passion for dance, she auditioned and was chosen for the 2003 version of “Duende,” a Spanish ballet with the Florida Dance Festival, directed by the internationally accredited Rosa Mercedes. She has also participated in numerous activities within the cultural world, with Florida Grand Opera, Miss Hispanic International, Carnival Cruise, Univision, Hispanic Dance Festival in Mexico, such as being a guest on a Telemundo show, musical videos, commercials and Emilio Estefan Productions, amongst others. She is a Member of The Doral Business Council and the owner of Dancing Inxs since 2005.

MONICA BARRIOS

Monica completed her classical ballet training at Ballet Etudes Company of South Florida, where she danced for 19 years under the direction of Susana Prieto. As a child she danced on her school dance teams, winning numerous state and national awards, and later danced with the company at Miami Dade College. Monica went on to become a principal soloist at Ballet Etudes, taking on roles such as Clara in the Nutcracker, Pas de Trois in Sleeping Beauty and a soloist in Verdi’s The Seasons. She was also featured in several dances with the Dance Theater of Miami, under the direction of Patricio Suarez. Monica has been coaching and working with several schools in the area for the past 10 years, choreographing competition routines and teaching Master classes. She graduated from Miami Dade College in 2008 with an Associate’s degree in Dance and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 2011 from Florida International University, with a minor in Education. She is now the magnet dance program director at Miami Arts Studio 6-12 @ Zelda Glazer, a performing arts magnet school, and the director of the Jr. Empresses dance team.

PATRICIO SUAREZ

Graduated from New York University with a Masters degree in Higher Education and Administration with emphasis in Dance Education & Performance. He received his Bachelors degree from Florida International University after attending New World School of the Arts. Mr. Suarez is currently the District Supervisor of Performing Arts for MDCPS. Patricio’s best creation was becoming a father in September of 2012 to a beautiful daughter, Mila. He would like to thank his parents for their unconditional love and support. This is his 12th recital with Dancing Inxs. He is honored to be part of such an amazing and inspiring studio...which he considers his family. DANCERS: Remember to dance from your heart & enjoy this moment FOREVER...Much LOVE & LIGHT

ALBERTO PENA JR.

Alberto Pena Jr started dancing at the age of 18 where he took his first dance class with Patricio Suarez as an elective at his local high school, Hialeah Senior High.

Shortly after, he transitioned to Ballet Etudes under the direction of Susana Prieto where he got most of his classical training. Pena has now been an active and passionate dancer and choreographer for 14 years, throughout which his love and technique have both grown simultaneously and in direct correlation of one another. During his career, he has danced professionally for Ballet Etudes of South Florida, Dance Theater of Miami, DJB Dance Theater, Royal Caribbean International, the Florida Grand Opera, Mosaic Dance Project and most recently for the Pioneer Winter Dance Collective. Alberto’s work holds several national

titles for his choreographies at Mater Academy Charter High School, Hialeah Senior High School, Equinox Dance Company, Dancing In Xs, and most recently at Miami Art Studio. He earned his Bachelors in Fine Arts from New World School of the Arts and plans to pursue a lifetime of learning and artistic expression through the medium of dance whether it be by dancing, teaching and/ or choreographing.

CAROLINA MENDOZA

Carolina was a former student of Dancing in Xs for more than 13 years, and trained in all the styles offered at the studio with a focus to become a versatile dancer. By the age of 17, she had already performed professionally for the Florida Grand Opera during the 2011/2012 season, as a dancer for the Zarzuela “Luisa Fernanda”. Since 2009 she has participated in several dance Conventions such as Jump, Velocity, Intrigue, Turn it Up, Doug and Friends (LA) and Dance Awards (NY-Las Vegas), being awarded scholarships and the title of one of the Best Dancers for the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Season (VIP Senior finalist). In 2017, Carolina graduated from New World school of the Arts, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with a major in dance.

After college she spent a year dancing professionally for artists such as Becky G, Pitbull, Olga Tañon, Ozuna and more in Miami. She now lives in Los Angeles, California where she is currently training, auditioning and working to take her profession to the next level.

ASHLEY SANCHEZ

Ashley Sanchez is a professional Latin Ballroom and American Rhythm dancer, instructor and competitor. She was born and raised in Miami, Florida and began dancing all styles of dance including contemporary, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, flamenco, and ballroom at eight years old. Her competitive Latin Ballroom career began as an amateur competitor which included placing in the final of some of the nations top competitions. Her greatest results as an amateur competitor was becoming a 2x National Champion and becoming the vice-champion at the world championships. She became a professional competitor at the early age of 18 and is currently one of the youngest dancers competing at the professional level. Some of her results as a professional have included winning and placing in the finals of the nations most prestigious competitions. She is the 2016 National Mambo champion and is currently a U.S Rising Star American Rhythm champion with her partner, Anton Tregubov. Aside from being a competitive dancer and teacher, Ashley was also a featured dancer on Simon Fullers hit reality TV show “Ballroom Blitz” that premiered on TLC in 2014 and has performed for several “Dancing with the Stars” tour events as well as has been seen on Season 16 of “So You Think You can Dance”.

DAISY VILORIA

Daisy was born on December 4, 1991 in Caracas, Venezuela. She began her dance training at the young age of six with ballet classes, flamenco and Venezuelan folklore. She then progressed to modern and urban dance as well as Hip Hop, Jazz Funk and Break Dancing. Then she worked with Venezuelan artists/duets/singers as a choreographer and dancer in many states of the country and different shows. Now she is a dance instructor of Hip Hop at Dancing Inxs since 2012. Also in the beginning of 2013 she participated as a backup dancer for the Florida Grand Opera’s production “ The Magic Flute” at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and The Broward Center for the Performing Arts. She also was a member of the NBA’s Miami Heat Dancers for the 2016-2017 season. She has dance in “Premios Lo Nuestro” and “Premios Juventud” for Pitbull, Ricky Martin, J Balvin, Arcangel, Chyno y Nacho, Gente de Zona, Olga Tañon, Zion y Lenox, Ozuna, Silvestre Dangond, Tito El Bambino, Wisin y Yandel, Marc Anthony, etc. Also worked in Daddy Yankee’s music video “Shaky Shaky” Yandel “Aprovéchame” and Enrique Iglesias ft. Pitbull “Move to Miami”. She’s truly enjoying all of her dance experiences, especially most recently that she’s been part of Royalty World Inc since September 2017, as one of the “Pretty Girls DirtyGirls” Maluma Dancers, an internationally recognized Colombian artist. She has had the great opportunity to travel to 17 countries, visiting and dancing in 70 cities around the world, such as Latin America, USA, Europe, etc.

teachers LEYDIS SANCHEZ

Leydis began her training at age of 10 at the School of Arts in Camaguey Cuba, participating in numerous international festivals and ballet competitions obtaining recognition and awards. At age of 15, she became part of the Cuba National Ballet School, where she graduated as a professional ballerina and teacher receiving classes from very prestigious teachers like Fernando Alonso, Aurora Bosch, Azari Plisetsky, Lazaro Carreño among others renowned teachers and ballet dancers and masters from The Cuban National Ballet. After her graduation in 2005 she became part of the professional Ballet Company “Ballet of Camaguey”. Besides performing throughout Cuba, she also participated in numerous International tours throughout Italy, Switzerland, Colombia, and Spain, performing soloist roles in renown ballets such as as Giselle, Paquita, Swans Lake, Coppelia, La Fille Mal Gardee and Majisimo. Leydis also performed different works of the neoclassical repertoire of different renowned choreographers. She is also fluent in other dance styles such as Contemporary, Lyrical and Modern. In 2011 she became part of the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami where she performed roles of the classical repertoire. Currently she teaches at Stars Dance Studio, Liberate the Artist Tour, American Dance Awards and DancingXS Dance Studio. Also having trained students in classical repertoire for ballet competitions like American Dance Competition IBC, Universal Ballet Competition, The Youth America Grand Prix and The Dance Awards.

YOVANA GOMEZ

She was born in Havana, Cuba in 1963. At only 6 years old she began to train gymnastics and she was even part of the National Team. In 1992, she received a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education, with specialization in sports and children with problems. She also attended different classes in Havana, Berlin, and Spain. She has worked as a athletic and ballet trainer for more than 20 years in sports and dance studios. Additionally, she worked with autistic and deficit motor development children. Since 2006, she lives in the USA working as a gymnastics trainer and with children with different problems. She is happy to be part of our family.

JUAN CARLOS FONSECA

Coach Juan Carlos started gymnastics at the age of 5 in Cuba. He continued on to the Junior National Pre-selection, where he competed internationally and nationally. In 1994, he received a bachelor’s degree with gold title at the Higher Institute of Physical Culture. Mr. Juan has been coaching both men’s and women’s artistic gymnastic level 2-10 and high performance for more than 20 years. With his accredited bachelor degree in Physical Education in the U.S. and his USAG coaching certification as women’s, men’s and Acro Coach, Mr J.C has been teaching tumbling and acro in some of the most popular Dance Studios in Miami , He love gymnastics, Tumbling and dance that’s why He enjoys working in a team environment to achieve outstanding results.

GENESIS MARTINEZ

Genesis was born and raised in Miami, FL. She began expressing her passion for dance at age 5. She later started dancing competitively for Mater Academy Lionettes & Company as the team’s Captain under the direction of Alberto Pena Jr., and continued dancing at Dancing INXS. Genesis presently works for Kinderdance teaching introductory ballet and tap for multiple preschools in South Florida. She also teaches dance for Doral International Academy of Math & Science, along with Jazz and Baby Ballet at Dancing INXS dance studio. She is currently enrolled at Miami Dade College pursuing her Bachelors Degree in Mathematics Education.

Genesis finds true joy in teaching and dance. She is endlessly grateful to have been given the opportunity to experience working doing what she loves the most, and is forever indebted to her bosses, peers and students who constantly encourage and motivate her to reach for the stars!

NATHALIE VAZQUEZ

Natalie Vazquez was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Miami, Florida.

Since graduating from New World School Of The Arts with a Bachelors in Fine Arts she has been dancing with Peter London Global Dance Complex. She has also worked with other local choreographers like Brigette Cormier for local dance projects. In the past couple of years Natalie has picked up a strong passion for helping develop young dancers by working in dance studios and magnet schools based in Miami.

RONNEY PIMENTEL

Ronney was born in the Dominican Republic. He began dancing in his high school years, where he after formed part of the school’s dance team. After becoming member of the school team, he discovered his love and passion for dance and decided to take it seriously. He auditioned for the studio Dancinginxs and began his training in 2013.

He has participated in several Dance conventions such as Jump, Nuvo, Intrigue, and Dance Awards, being awarded for scholarships in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Orlando.

In these competitions he was awarded the title of Best Dancer of The Year 2015 as a VIP finalist. He also works in the dance industry in Miami, where he has had the opportunity to work with artists like Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Marc Anthony, and many more. He has also appeared in TV Awards like Premios Tu Mundo, Premios Juventud, and Premios Lo Nuestro. He is currently a teacher at Dancinginxs. Ronney hopes to continue to pass down his passion and love for dance over the next generations.

apprentices SAMANTHA ABUD

Samantha was born and raised in Miami, and began dancing at the age of 6. Her first dance class was at Dancinginxs and she has been dancing there ever since. From a young age she fell in love with dance and it continued to grow throughout the years. After her first year of dance, she began competing and has since competed in multiple competitions and participated in many dance conventions such as Jump and Nuvo, where she was able to win scholarships for the Dance Awards. In addition, she won the title of 2016 Senior Grand Champion at the Contest of Champions National Competition. Although she graduated last year, she is still at the studio every week teaching classes of all ages. She is eternally grateful for her second family, Dancinginxs.

STEPHANIE NINO

Stephanie born and raised in Miami with Venezuelan parents. Has been dancing since she was two years old at dancinginxs and has never stopped since then. Her first dance class was with Ms.Adriana, now the director of dancinginxs, at daycare and continues to dance everyday.

She was a former captain of the Sensations dance team at Ronald Reagan High School and has been training with all the teachers at Dancinginxs in all styles such as hip hop, contemporary, ballet, flamenco, ballroom and many others. Now she is an instructor at Dancinginxs for flamenco and ballroom.

She has also had the opportunity to dance with the artist Silvestre Dangond at American Airlines Arena. She’s majoring in finance but hopes to keep dance in her life forever.

Assistant Director MONICA MOLINA

Monica Molina is a Dancing inXS alumni who ended her competitive dance career in the 2011-2012 season. Although she no longer competes for dance, it continues to be her passion and continues to take classes especially focused in Belly Dance. Monica has now completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Central Florida majoring in Clinical Sciences and is currently pursuing a career in Medicine. She truly enjoys continuing to support her Dancing inXS family throughout the years off stage, as much as she relished her time on stage.
