First and foremost, thank you to all who have made this year a success. Thank you to our instructors for their professionalism, passion, inspiration and seamless collaboration. Their creativity has allowed all of our dancers to shine each time they step out on stage. To all the parents, it is because of your commitment, and your financial and logistical support that our students were able to accomplish a year full of achievements. Thank you to my mother. Without her, the success of our studio would not be what it is today. Dancinginxs has become one of the most prestigious studios in south Florida, thanks to the support of every single person in this room. It is because of our hard work and dedication that we have been able to achieve the recognition we deserve. On a more personal note, a few months ago I had to go through one of the hardest things a person can face; the death of a father. My father was the person who always gave me inspiration, strength, emotional support, and guidance in business, year after year. He supported me in all the projects and goals that I faced daily, as a director and role model. My greatest insight from my father was his strength! No matter the difficulties I faced, or how hard it was, he never let me fall. Until his last breath, he taught me how important it is to be a “warrior,” and though there may be sadness in our hearts, there will always be something to stand up for, something to fight for, and someone who cares for you. This dance recital is a tribute to life, joy, dance, family, art, togetherness, and the personal struggles that each of us face. Primero que nada, gracias a todos los que han hecho posible que este año sea un éxito. Nuestros profesores que indiscutiblemente con su profesionalismo , pasión, inspiración y compenetración con cada una de sus ideas ha hecho que nuestras bailarinas brillen, y den lo mejor de sí en cada stage que han pisado. A todos los padres que con su compromiso y apoyo económico y logístico logran que nuestras alumnas puedan culminar un año lleno de expectativas. A mi madre por que sin ella el camino de este studios fuera diferente. Dancinginxs se ha convertido gracias a la ayuda de todos en uno de los estudios más prestigiosos del sur de la Florida y en especial este año hemos mantenido el reconocimiento que merecemos por todo nuestro fuerte trabajo. Sin embargo , paralelamente a nivel personal, hace pocos meses he tenido que vivir tal vez lo más duro que un ser humano puede afrontar. La muerte de un padre. Y más cuando ese padre era la persona que siempre cada año me daba la inspiración, fortaleza, guía emocional y empresarial en todos los proyectos y metas que a diario enfrento como directora y cómo modelo a seguir. Sin embargo mi mayor aprendizaje de mi padre fue la fortaleza ! Nunca dejarme caer de las dificultades por mas duro que fuese la situación. Hasta el último respiro, me enseñó lo importante que es ser “guerrera” y que no importa la tristeza que esté en nuestro corazón, siempre hay alguien que te admira y algo por lo cual luchar y pararse una vez más. Por eso, este recital es un homenaje a la vida, a la alegría, al baile, a la familiaridad, al arte, a la unión, a la lucha constante que cada uno de nosotros en lo personal afrontamos ... celebremos la vida y el esfuerzo y la dedicación de cada una de nuestras pequeñas y sus ilusiones de brillas como estrellas en un escenario poniendo todo su corazón. ADRIANA NASSIFF
Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Adriana received a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications and a Masters degree in Journalism. She commenced her dancing career with ballet and flamenco at the early age of five. Due to her family roots from Lebanon, she felt compelled to begin studies in Middle Eastern dance when she was 13 years old. Adriana moved from Colombia to Miami in 2001 and throughout the past 10 years, has strengthened her dance technique in varied forms of dance by participating in several National Belly Dance Shows and by attending a myriad of intensive courses and seminars. Prior to her move to the U.S., she was a member of the flamenco company “Triana,” in Colombia from 1999 to 2001. Continuing with her passion for dance, she auditioned and was chosen for the 2003 version of “Duende,” a Spanish ballet with the Florida Dance Festival, directed by the internationally accredited Rosa Mercedes. She has also participated in numerous activities within the cultural world, with Florida Grand Opera, Miss Hispanic International, Carnival Cruise, Univision, Hispanic Dance Festival in Mexico, such as being a guest on a Telemundo show, musical videos, commercials and Emilio Estefan Productions, amongst others. She is a Member of The Doral Business Council and the owner of Dancing Inxs since 2005.
ALBERTO PENA JR.
Alberto Pena Jr started dancing at the age of 18 where he took his first dance class with Patricio Suarez as an elective at his local high school, Hialeah Senior High. Shortly after, he transitioned to Ballet Etudes under the direction of Susana Prieto where he got most of his classical training. Pena has now been an active and passionate dancer for 11 years, throughout which his love and technique have both grown simultaneously and in direct correlation of one another. During his career, he has danced professionally for Ballet Etudes of South Florida, Dance Theater of Miami, DJB Dance Theater, Royal Caribbean International, the Florida Grand Opera, Mosaic Dance Project and most recently for the Pioneer Winter Dance Collective. Alberto’s work holds several national titles for his choreographies at Mater Academy Charter High School, Hialeah Senior High School, Dancing In Xs and most recently at Miami Dance Studio . He earned his Bachelors in Fine Arts from New World School of the Arts and plans to pursue a lifetime of learning and artistic expression through the medium of dance whether it be by dancing, teaching and/ or choreographing.
MONICA BARRIOS
Monica completed her classical ballet training at Ballet Etudes Company of South Florida, where she danced for 19 years under the direction of Susana Prieto. As a child she danced on her school dance teams, winning numerous state and national awards, and later danced with the company at Miami Dade College. Monica went on to become a principal soloist at Ballet Etudes, taking on roles such as Clara in the Nutcracker, Pas de Trois in Sleeping Beauty and a soloist in Verdi’s The Seasons. She was also featured in several dances with the Dance Theater of Miami, under the direction of Patricio Suarez. Monica has been coaching and working with several schools in the area for the past 10 years, choreographing competition routines and teaching Master classes. She graduated from Miami Dade College in 2008 with an Associate’s degree in Dance and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 2011 from Florida International University, with a minor in Education. She is now the magnet dance program director at Miami Arts Studio 6-12 @ Zelda Glazer, a performing arts magnet school, and the director of the Jr. Empresses dance team.
PATRICIO SUAREZ
Graduated from New York University with a Masters degree in Higher Education and Administration with emphasis in Dance Education & Performance. He received his Bachelors degree from Florida International University after attending New World School of the Arts. He is the Artistic Director and Founder of Dance Theater of Miami and presently an Administrator at Miami Arts Studio 6-12 @ Zelda Glazer. Mr. Suarez served as the President of the Dade Association of Dance Educators for the past 10 years. Patricio’s best creation was becoming a father on September of 2012 to a beautiful daughter, Mila. He would like to thank his parents for their unconditional love and support. This is his 11th recital with Dancing Inxs as the Director/Coach of the Junior & Senior Teams-this year he had the privilege of working with the mini team. CAROLINA MENDOZA
Carolina was a former student of Dancing in Xs for more than 13 years, and trained in all dance styles including Flamenco, Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Belly dance, Hip Hop and Ballroom. By the age of 17, she had already performed professionally for the Florida Grand Opera during the 2011/2012 season, as a dancer for the Zarzuela “Luisa Fernanda”. Since 2009 she has participated in several dance Conventions such as Jump, Velocity, Intrigue, Turn it Up, Doug and Friends (LA ) and Dance Awards (NY-Las Vegas), being awarded scholarships and the title of one of the Best Dancers for the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Season ( VIP Senior finalist). Now a graduate from New World school of the Arts, Carolina has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with her major being in dance. During her college years, she performed repertoire by New York’s Ballet Hispanico Dance Company and original works by Gerard Ebitz and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. She now dances professionally for artists such as Becky G, Pitbull, Olga Tañon, Ozuna and more.
ASHLEY SANCHEZ
Ashley Sanchez is a professional Latin Ballroom and American Rhythm dancer, instructor and competitor. She was born and raised in Miami, Florida and began dancing all styles of dance including contemporary, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, flamenco, and ballroom at eight years old. As a teenager, she began training in the International Latin dance style with the current world champions and several world renowned instructors and judges. Her competitive Latin Ballroom career began as an amateur competitor which included placing in the final of some of the nations top competitions. Her greatest results as an amateur competitor was becoming a 2x National Champion and becoming the vice-champion at the world championships. She became a professional competitor at the early age of 18 and is currently one of the youngest dancers competing at the professional level. She is currently dancing in the American Rhythm style which includes dance styles such as the Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, Bolero, and Mambo. Some of her results as a professional have included winning and placing in the finals of the nations most prestigious competitions. She is the 2016 National Mambo champion and is currently a U.S Rising Star American Rhythm champion with her partner, Anton Tregubov. Aside from being a competitive dancer and teacher, Ashley was also a featured dancer on Simon Fullers hit reality TV show “Ballroom Blitz” that premiered on TLC in 2014 and has performed for several “Dancing with the Stars” tour events as well as NBC’s show “Americas Got Talent”. She aspires to continue her dance career as well as explore film and television opportunities in the near future.
DAISY VILORIA
Daisy was born on December 4, 1991 in Caracas, Venezuela. She began her dance training at the young age of six with ballet classes, flamenco and Venezuelan folklore. She then progressed to modern and urban dance as well as Hip Hop, Jazz Funk and Break Dancing. Then she worked with Venezuelan artists/duets/singers as a choreographer and dancer in many states of the country and different shows. Now she is a dance instructor of Hip Hop at Dancing Inxs since 2012. Also in the beginning of 2013 she participated as a backup dancer for the Florida Grand Opera’s production “ The Magic Flute” at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and The Broward Center for the Performing Arts. She also was a member of the NBA’s Miami Heat Dancers for the 2016-2017 season. She has dance in “Premios Lo Nuestro” and “Premios Juventud” for Pitbull, Ricky Martin, J Balvin, Arcangel, Chyno y Nacho, Gente de Zona, Olga Tañon, Zion y Lenox, Ozuna, Silvestre Dangond, Tito El Bambino, Wisin y Yandel, Marc Anthony, etc. Also worked in Daddy Yankee’s music video “Shaky Shaky” Yandel “Aprovéchame” and Enrique Iglesias ft. Pitbull “Move to Miami”. She’s truly enjoying all of her dance experiences, especially most recently that she’s been part of Royalty World Inc since September 2017, as one of the “Pretty Girls DirtyGirls” Maluma Dancers, an internationally recognized Colombian artist. She has had the great opportunity to travel to 17 countries, visiting and dancing in 70 cities around the world, such as Latin America, USA, Europe, etc.
SAMANTHA ABUD
Samantha was born and raised in Miami, and began dancing at the age of 6. Her first dance class was at Dancinginxs and she has been dancing there ever since. From a young age she fell in love with dance and it continued to grow throughout the years. After her first year of dance, she began competing and has since competed in multiple competitions and participated in many dance conventions such as Jump and Nuvo, where she was able to win scholarships for the Dance Awards. In addition, she won the title of 2016 Senior Grand Champion at the Contest of Champions National Competition. Although she graduated last year, she is still at the studio every week teaching classes of all ages. She is eternally grateful for her second family, Dancinginxs.
YOVANA GOMEZ
She was born in Havana, Cuba in 1963. At only 6 years old she began to train gymnastics and she was even part of the National Team. In 1992, she received a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education, with specialization in sports and children with problems. She also attended different classes in Havana, Berlin, and Spain. She has worked as a athletic and ballet trainer for more than 20 years in sports and dance studios. Additionally, she worked with autistic and deficit motor development children. Since 2006, she lives in the USA working as a gymnastics trainer and with children with different problems. She is happy to be part of our family.
NATHALIE VAZQUEZ
Natalie Vazquez was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Miami, Florida. Since graduating from New World School Of The Arts with a Bachelors in Fine Arts she has been dancing with Peter London Global Dance Complex. She has also worked with other local choreographers like Brigette Cormier for local dance projects. In the past couple of years Natalie has picked up a strong passion for helping develop young dancers by working in dance studios and magnet schools based in Miami.
FELA ANZOLA
Fela was born in Acarigua, Venezuela in 1998. She began dancing at Compañia de Danzas Ballet Scorpio when she was 3 years old. As a child she trained in a variety of styles including jazz, hip hop, ballet, contemporary, Venezuelan folklore and flamenco. In 2013 she became a company member at Jhakima’s Danza Studio. She has participed in various dance festivals including “Fama El Festival” and “Festival de Danzas Nacionalistas con Yolanda Moreno”. In April 2014, Fela moved from Venezuela to Miami and continued her training in a new country. She began taking classes at ShowStopper Studio and was part of the Senior Company for 3 seasons. She started her professional career at the age of 16, performing in her first music video with Laura Pausini. She has since had the opportunity to work with several other artists. Fela has also worked as a backup dancer at numerous concerts and events. She has been part of the Dancinginxs faculty since February 2017. She is also a member of the Miami Marlins baseball team’s Marlins Mermaids dance team for the 2018 season. Her goal is to be able to tour with different artists that belong to the Latin and American Music industry and to become a recognized choreographer in the future. She’s happy and grateful to be part of this family and she hopes to inspire future generations through her knowledge and experience.
RONNEY PIMENTEL
Ronney was born in the Dominican Republic. He began dancing in his high school years, where he after became part of the school’s dance team. After becoming member of the school team, he discovered his love and passion for dance and decided to take it serious. He audition for Dancinginxs and began his training in 2013. He has participated in several Dance conventions such as Jump, Nuvo, Intrigue and Dance Awards, being awarded for scholarships in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Orlando. Earned the title of Best Dancers for the year 2015 (VIP finalist). He’s currently a teacher at Dancinginxs. Ronney hopes to continue to pass down he’s passion and love for dance for the next generations.
KARIN RODRIGUEZ
Karin Rodriguez is a recent graduate from Florida Gulf Coast University, earning her Bachelors Degree in Resort and Hospitality Management. She focused on event management, which originally arose from her time at Dancing in XS. At the age of four she began the life of a dancer leading to be one of our oldest students. Though out the years she learned that her spotlight was not on stage, it was behind the scenes with “The show must go on” mentality. As we watched her grow with us, she is now watching our young athletes develop their skills and shine on the dance floor.

Monica Molina is a Dancing inXS alumni who ended her competitive dance career in the 2011-2012 season. Although she no longer competes for dance, it continues to be her passion and continues to take classes especially focused in Belly Dance. Monica has now completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Central Florida majoring in Clinical Sciences and is currently pursuing a career in Medicine. She truly enjoys continuing to support her Dancing inXS family throughout the years off stage, as much as she relished her time on stage.
