White Dee brings a sense of 'Reality' to the CBB House “Birmingham’s own celebrity Duchess”
Goodbye!! The Sweetest Drama Queen ever Inside this Month
S
he was the first to arrive in the Celebrity Big Brother house and it wouldn't be a surprise if she was the last to leave as White Dee, star of TV show, 'Benefits Street,' brought a huge dose of “reality” to the best known House in Britain. After starring in the Channel 4 show about the travails of life on the now famed James Turner Street, in Birmingham's Winson Green, White Dee, strong of opinion and very defensive of the often indefensible, has found the forum from which people can see who the real woman, mother, friend and all round person is. Despite her strong, opinionated front, a trait which other media organisations hung their hat on and go to the extreme and beyond to 'create' their own White Dee, her neighbours, her family her friends and her herself know that there is some serious depth to the thoughtful, sometimes vulnerable Deirdre Kelly. Having donned the robes of the Duchess of Solihull in a bid to baffle some of the housemates, the “23rd in line to the throne” passed her secret mission to convince fellow CBB summer 2014 housemates Angelique ‘Frenchy’ Morgan, Gary Busey and Leslie Jordan that she is a member of the royal family. But as the days passed, the other Big Brother housemates had the chance to see and hear her for who, and what, she really is, away from the glare of the tabloids and gossip-hungry press. Of her sudden rise to stardom on Celebrity Big Brother, the Street Cred Magazine columnist said: “Being thrown into the world of television exposure was a real shock.”
