ig names from across the West Midlands are all fired up for a daring fundraiser from Acorns Children’s Hospice in a few weeks’ time. Captains of industry and leaders from the world of business and politics will be among those walking over hot coals on Thursday 12 March in the Acorns Firewalk. The event, which is taking place at the Black Country Living Museum, is being held to help fund the charity’s vital work caring for life limited and life threatened children and their families. Participants braving the heat include renowned Birmingham chef and Wilderness owner Alex Claridge, regional business leader Paul Cadman, Brummie broadcast legend Ed James, Chief Executive of MDTI and Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands, Professor Martin Levermore MBE, and inspirational entrepreneur and also Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands Fleur Sexton.
