avid Beckham is to use his status and fame in a worldwide appeal to help all children caught up in atrocities across the globe. The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador has voiced his concerns in light of the millions
of children who are homeless and without education worldwide. Syria for example is the housing of more than 1.2 million children seeking refuge due to continuous conflict whilst 2.3 million children are victims of conflict in the Central African Republic.
Recently, the former football player visited the Philippines, where Beckham saw first-hand how as many as 1.7 million children could be displaced as a result of Typhoon Hayian. In his film documenting what he has seen and what he hopes to achieve, the global super star
states: “Emergencies like war, a food crisis or a natural disaster like the typhoon here in the Philippines destroy children’s lives. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by the scale of an emergency.
