Daniel’s Foundation ‘Sturr’s up support at Gala Dinner

he great and the good gathered for the Sturridge Foundation Gala Dinner, Dance and Achievement Award presentation evening, in the swanky 1874 Suite, at Aston Villa FC's Villa Park. Footballers, past and present, musicians, business people, family, friends, associates and general supporters were in great numbers to support the charity set-up by Liverpool and England striker, Daniel Sturridge, plus parents, father, Michael and mother, Grace.
Compered by renowned radio presenter and DJ, Bobo El Numero Uno the night was the perfect platform for all to know more of the Foundation, its goals, its achievements and future planning and developments. The Sturridge family was determined to get their message across to an attentive crowd, most of whom were familiar with them and their benevolent aspirations with it all taking place in the city of Daniel, and there, roots as well as the club where it all started, for the goal-scoring maestro – and, in-

deed, dad, Michael. This was the first major fundraising event for the Sturridge Foundation in the UK. In 2013 its very first event, anywhere, took place in the family’s original roots – Jamaica – with a family fun day, in Portmore, in St. Catherine. In Jamaica they also made indelible contributions to local hospitals, schools and other establishments by way of funding opportunities, gifts, or the Sturridge family’s very presence.
