Anjelica Simone is happy to be returning to the Chorale for the Navidad series after taking the last series off for her wedding! She and her husband Albert had the most beautiful wedding on October 28th at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek, AZ.

The Arizona Musical Theatre Orchestra, under the direction of Stephen Schermitzler held its public debut this fall, performing Sweeney Todd during Halloween weekend with over 100 performers. AZMTO is open to community performers and looks forward to performing Titanic: the Musical on January 21st.

Christopher Gabbitas has recently been appointed to the Advisory Board of Voces8, having previously been one of their initial trustees. This position gives the Chorale a direct link to one of the most exciting choral ensembles in the world, and we hope will open doors to future collaborations. Both ensembles now also share a record label, with the recent signing of the Chorale to Signum Records, and we will be recording our first album with Signum next month.

This Christmas season, The Phoenix Boys Choir, under the direction of Herbert Washington, will premiere Kira Zeeman Rugen’s “Coventry Carol” for their “Home for the Holidays” concerts. December 2022 performances of her music include Utopia

Early Music in Utah, Scottsdale Christian Academy, and Resonance of Singapore Singers, conducted by Toh Ban Sheng.

Gabriel Frongillo successfully completed his first semester in his Masters program at ASU this month. He is also an avid gardener and planted over 200 flowers for the spring this fall, all of which are dedicated to his partner, Arturo.
