LEGISLATION PASSES APPROVING AN ADDITIONAL $1M TO RECRUIT, HIRE, & TRAIN MORE POLICE OFFICERS

TRACTOR TRAILERS ON STREETS AND IN DRIVEWAYS

Brian O’Neill has introduced legislation to prohibit tractor trailers & trailer cabs from parking in residential driveways. The bill is listed for a hearing on 6/1/2023 at 10AM and is expected to pass overwhelmingly.

“Maintaining the appearance of our Far Northeast neighborhoods has always been one of my top priorities”. “This legislation will cut down on the number of these vehicles parking in our residential neighborhoods” said O’Neill, who’s offices have been inundated with these requests due to an increase in illegal truck and tractor trailer parking in the Far Northeast. O’Neill’s bill also increases the fine for parking tractor trailers on residential streets from $300.00 to $500.00. O’Neill’s office continues to work with the police and the Philadelphia Parking Authority to crack down on this activity by having the vehicles ticketed and towed. To report an illegally parked semitrailer, truck tractor, or other vehicle, or, to testify in support of this legislation, call O’Neill’s office.

HONORING THE CARETAKER OF BOYLE PLAYGROUND

Martina White, Neal Regan, and all the kids from the Boyle after-school program for joining me to help present him with well-de served Pennsylvania State House and Philadelphia City Council Citations.
