Get ready for an enjoyable evening of quintessential brass music by Phil Brass, comprising brass and percussion musicians from The Philharmonic Winds. PhilBrass will be presenting “Miniatures” – a selection of music that seeks to portray the large, through the small.
Come explore the grandiose architectures and famous neighbourhoods of London in London Miniatures; hear the sounds of the enchanted Rose Garden; enjoy jazz music such as Black Orpheus and Gershwin In Brass, and catch tuba player Ben Pei in the limelight as part of the brass quintet classic, Tuba Tiger Rag.
Bring your little ones as well, as PhilBrass reprises their own version of The Carnival of the Animals, featuring tunes from the famous suite by Saint-Saëns that has become a children’s classic. This work has been performed by Phil Brass to more than 10,000 students in 40 schools over the past three years.
