14th Annual Turkey Run Needs Help
The Tun Tavern Detachment, Marine Corps League, will celebrate the 234th birthday of the United States Marine Corps with a fancy Ball next month. The celebration will take place Nov. 7 at Mancini’s Catering of 1840 S. Camac Street. The South Philadelphia-based Tun Tavern Detachment meets on the third Wednesday of each month at the Coast Guard Station, Columbus Boulevard & Washington Avenue. (Cont. Page 2)

While the first South Philly garden was established at 9th & Sigel, the public became much more familiar with them when the Southwark School Garden was started at 9th & Mifflin Streets. Historic City Gardens differs from other Philadelphia horticultural projects by creating community-based, single “concept” gardens.
