On the horizon this year are: • Expand the Northwest Missouri Home & Better Living Show – A great new way for area businesses to showcase their products and services; and • Revamp the Downtown Sounds Concert Series to showcase more chamber members. You can read more about our successes in 2013 and our initiatives for 2014 in the following pages. “Our community deserves a great hospital like St. Francis.” – Bob Bush As a member of the Pride of Maryville program, Bob Bush (seated) is all about making our community a better place to live, whether it’s keeping our city cleaner or supporting St. Francis Hospital & Health Services. “I’ve lived in Maryville since 1968, and I’ve always been impressed with the excellent service, professional attitude and great expertise our hospital

provides,” says Bob. “The energy and positive attitude of the entire staff is amazing!” Bob had two recent surgeries at St. Francis Hospital & Health Services. “Whenever people ask me about my time in the hospital, I always tell them that it felt like the entire staff was there just to take care of me,” says Bob, who worked as an administrator at Northwest Missouri State University before retiring. “I know the nurses and physicians were caring for many other patients, but it really felt like I was the only one in the hospital.” Bob also believes St. Francis Hospital & Health Services plays an important role in strengthening the local economy and making Maryville more attractive to new businesses and people wanting to relocate. “Here in Maryville, we enjoy a level of healthcare you won’t find in most communities our size,” Bob says. “That’s an asset we can all be proud of!”
