SUE DAUGHERTY, RDN, LDN CEO, MANNA KEYNOTE
Sue joined MANNA in 1999 as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). At MANNA, Sue has held several positions prior to being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2012. Sue garnered national recognition in June 2013 when she co-authored a key study, “Examining Health Care Costs Among MANNA Clients and a Comparison Group” published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Primary Care & Community Health. This research study examined the health care cost savings associated with MANNA’s model and has ongoing impact on nutrition policy nationwide. Sue has presented MANNA’s work at conferences and meetings across the country. She has also testified in front of the United States Congress. Sue is an Advisory Board member of the national Food Is Medicine Coalition and served as co-vice-chair from 2019-2022. In 2019 Sue was invited to join the Food Lab Accelerator at Google as a product owner for Food Is Medicine. Other accolades include, the 2015 Jefferson College of Population Health Education Hero Award, Comcast’s Newsmakers selection, the Cancer Treatment Center’s America Caregiver Women of the Week Award, and Bank of America’s Neighborhood Builders Award. In May 2022 Sue was the Keynote Speaker for the graduating ceremony for Jefferson College of Health Professionals and she received an honorary degree of Doctor of Science from Thomas Jefferson University.
Adam is a Partner at Dreamit Ventures, a Philadelphia based venture fund, where he leads the healthtech practice. Dreamit focuses on late Seed and Series A digital health and medtech companies. Adam’s career has focused on building early stage venture-backed companies. He co-founded five health technology companies and served as CEO of three. He has raised significant venture capital and led several M&A transactions. Adam has also published numerous articles and videos (MedCity News Influencer and Dreamit Dose series) covering fundraising, investor pitch decks, and governance.
Adam serves on the boards of Safkan Health and RightAir. He is an active angel investor and has served as a board director for 12 startups. He is a recipient of the PACT MedTech leadership award. Adam is a named inventor on eight U.S. patents. He teaches a graduate level course on healthcare entrepreneurship within the Penn School of Medicine. He holds a BSE from the Wharton School and an MBA from UCLA.

He also served as the HMO’s regulatory liaison for New York and Connecticut, was a senior underwriting consultant for five of the HMO’s largest managed care accounts and was the coordinator of the HMO’s managed care feasibility study unit. His previous experience includes five years of institutional operations management at New York University Medical Center, New York HospitalCornell Medical Center-Westchester Division, and the Westchester County Medical Center. His responsibilities there included fiscal analysis and operations management.

An entrepreneur and technologist with a computational biology background, David founded Proscia in 2014 inspired by research at Johns Hopkins. Proscia has since earned recognition as a market category leader, securing major diagnostic laboratories and 14 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies as users, and has raised $75M in funding. Roze McDevitt is a Senior Venture Capital Analyst with the Healthcare Investment Group at Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern PA.
