Shouldering the ever increasing costs associated with Philangles has become substantial, particularly over the previous eighteen months, especially with the spiralling costs of fuel & our production costs. Over the course of a year we mail out over 26,000 auction catalogues at no additional charges, we travel the entire length & breadth of the UK inspecting stamp collections and we pride ourselves at offering you, our valued clients a first class service.
We have inspected many other similar companies terms & conditions together with charges & were shocked by some that we saw including companies charging upwards of 30% buyers fees (if you include the VAT) and charges of upto £15 just to handle a carton to be sent out, this is before the postage charge has been added!
We have reluctantly had to increase our buyers premium from 15% to 18% effective from 25th April 2022. This hasn’t been increased in over a decade. Postage charges have gone up (bearing in mind Royal Mail have increased first class 12% from April 2022) we have had to increase these in line with forces out of our control. We still use postage stamps on our mailings, many companies have dropped this service. Please check our terms & conditions.
