If you are unable to attend an auction in person, and wish to place bids, you may consider instructing Phila China Limited's Bid Department to bid on your behalf. Upon receiving your written instructions, our representative will make every effort possible to try to acquire the lot(s) of your choice at the lowest price possible, and never to exceed the top limit you indicate. This service is complimentary and with strict confidence. Phila China Limited offers this value-added service as a convenience to our clients who are unable to attend the auction, however, Phila China Limited will not be held responsible for error, omission or failure to execute bids.
To place bids, please use the absentee bid form provided in the catalog. Be sure to accurately record the lot number(s) and the top price you are willing to pay for each lot. "Buy" bids will not be accepted. Always indicate a "top limit" - the amount to which you would bid if you were attending the auction yourself.
Bids may be placed by telephone, but are accepted subject to Phila China Limited's discretion and are at caller's risk. At the sole discretion of Phila China Limited, telephone bids may be recorded. By bidding on the telephone, prospective purchasers consent thereto.

Alternative bids should be indicated by using the word "OR" between lot numbers. If your bid on an early lot is successful, we will not continue to bid on other lots for you. Or, if your early bids are unsuccessful, we will continue to execute bids for alternative lots until a bid is successful. Bids must always be placed in the same order as the lot numbers appear in the catalog.
BUYER'S PREMIUM The "top limit" you indicate on your bid form is for the hammer price only. A 15% buyer's premium will be added to the successful bid price for each lot you buy and is payable by you.
SUCCESSFUL BIDS Each absentee bid form should contain bids for one auction only; the auction code number should appear in the top left-hand corner of the form. Please place your bids as early as possible. In the event of identical bids, the earliest received will take precedence.

AUSTRALIA: 1927-1996 Mint Collection, housed in two Stanley Gibbons hingeless albums, contains all the commemoratives and air post from 1927-1931, then complete from 1932 (Scott 130) onward, all mint NH except the 1930 surcharge pair is lightly hinged, includes the 5sh Sydney Harbor Bridge, also Australian Antarctic Territory, huge catalog value, a very fine collection.

BRITISH ASIA: Mint and Used Collection, attractively mounted and housed in a Scott album to the late 1960s, areas of particular interest are Ceylon with most of the classic even including the 1859 4p dull rose and Hong Kong missing only a few high value items for 19th century completion, plus various other areas such as India and Malaya, collection also include British Middle East areas such as Aden, Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, Palestine and even some Syria (Arabian Government), must examine to appreciate.

BELGIAN CONGO: Mint and Used Collection, wellfilled in a Davo album, early issues a mix of unused or used, from 1920 on unused, also a run of RuandaUrundi.
BRITISH ASIA, JAPANESE OCCUPATION: Mint and Used Selection, a few hundred issues on album pages, including occupation of Malaya, North Borneo, Brunei and Burma, as well as Dutch Indies and Philippines, well filled with medium priced stamps, a few varieties, etc, high catalog value, must examine to appreciate.

CANADA: Mostly Mint Collection, to 1969 in a Lighthouse hingeless album, all but a few are unused, although collection begins with nice four-margined used 1851 6p Slate Violet on Laid Paper (with clean BPA certificate), fairly sparse until 1897 Jubilee issue and is quite solid thereafter, with singles, booklet panes and a few blocks of four, loaded with better sets, singles (some higher values mint NH) and even some varieties such as 1929 $1 Parliament horizontal pair imperforate vertically, officials complete for the period (all mint NH), only a few stamps with minor imperfections, vast majority are very fine, well worth examination.
BRITISH COMMONWEALTH: Mint Collection, neatly arranged on over 100 Lindner Uniplate pages, from the 1935 Silver Wedding omnibus to the 1970s, no duplication, excellent range of colonies, including many of the desirable first definitive sets of the QEII era, mostly mint NH, a particularly clean group, retail value HK$100,000+. BRITISH COMMONWEALTH: Mint and Used Collection, in a stockbook, much of the value in 20th century unused sets, though there is some used and 19th century, Great Britain includes used Penny Black and Two Penny Blue, used GBP1 Seahorse, unused GBP1 PUC, many useful sets to about 1960 from a variety of colonies, very fine collection.
CANADA: 1852-2001 Mostly Mint Collection, housed in two Lighthouse hingeless albums, large and small Queens mostly used, rest unused including Jubilees to the $2, complete sets of the Maple Leaf and Numeral issue, Edward VII issue, Admirals and the 1920s-30s commemorative issues, predominately complete then onwards (missing just a few sets), including back-ofbook, careful inspection will reveal a number of items being particularly well-centered and even some being mint NH.
