Pulmonary Hypertension Association

The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) had a record fundraising year in 2021 despite pandemic-related obstacles.

In November, PHA conducted its best Giving Tuesday ever A $30,000 match in honor of PHA’ s 30th anniversary helped drive unprecedented donations for the online fundraiser The match came from generous donors within the PH community who lost family members to PH and wanted to help prevent similar losses.

The total raised for Giving Tuesday 2021 surpassed $121,000, more than 20% higher than the previous year. Those donations, along with endowments, corporate support, company matches and foundation gifts, funded PHA programs at a critical time

PHA’ s monthly giving club, the Sustainers Circle, also saw a large boost in 2021 Doug Taylor, a member of PHA’ s Board of Trustees with PH, led the charge to increase monthly contributions through our Summer Step-Up Campaign.

Other donors also shared their inspirational stories to encourage people to give what they could, resulting in some of the highest performing fundraising campaigns in PHA’ s history
