The depiction of the kesar/saffron color is in the context of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Pune, the use of saffron or kesar color is associated with the Maratha identity and symbolism.
The Coronation Seal of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the iconic Maratha warrior and founder of the Maratha Empire, is a historically significant visual symbol associated with him and the city of Pune. The shape of the original seal was used to create its foundation.
Pune, being in the state of Maharashtra, has a significant connection to Warli art, so the warli exercising figure is used in this logo.
The lettering, was used to created a similar typeface for Devnagri and English letters. To communicate the unique history of the city, “Pune 2023” is written in both scripts.
The T-shirt is white in color which has short sleeve with Kesar/saffron color border at the end of the sleeves. The color on the collar is inspired from the flag of India. The front of the Tshirt has a logo on the top and a design at the bottom. The back has a olympic logo with Pune 2023 written below it.
The jacket is white in colour which has long sleeve with Kesar/saffron border at the end of the sleeves. The back of the right sleeve has design on it which is also seen on the front of the jacket. The front of the jacket also has a logo on it , with a color on the collar which is inspired from the flag of the India.
The pant has a design on the left side of the pant. It has side seam pockets with waist drawstring.
The design is inspired from the shape of the the coronation seal of Shivaji.
