ARRIvaL at the AIRPORT:

ARRIvaL at the Hotel:

● As you have provided us with your flight details, we will arrange a driver to meet you at the airport. Do not worry if you are late - the driver has your flight number and will be able to track any delays.

● As you arrive at the hotel, you will be greeted by a member of the team who will assist with the check in and ensure you receive your welcome pack.

● If for any reason you are unable to locate the driver, please contact the Designated Transfer rep (+971 55 887 0564) and they will be able to assist.

● Your welcome pack will include helpful items and crucially, your COP28 Accreditation Pass.

● The drive to the hotel will take approximately 45 Mins. The exact address of Holiday Inn Al-Maktoum is: Aviation City - Dubai South - Dubai - United Arab Emirates.

● For those of you who have requested an early check in, we will be working with the hotel staff to ensure this is granted as best as possible. We have been warned that due to high occupancy rates during the COP28, they cannot guarantee this service until shorter notice.

PLEASE NOTE: If you’re taking our transfer to your departing flight, your driver will be waiting for you at the hotel 3 hours before your flight.

PReparation for the INTERVIEWS On the day of your INterVIEW: By the morning of your interview, you should be focused on speaking freely and authentically about the topics you’re a pioneer of!

The preparation is now done and during the interview itself you’ve got more than enough time to rerun through any questions that you feel you’d like to repeat.

Sit back, relax and let the professionals guide you through the conversation.

WARDROBE Dress to impress ● ● ● ● ● ●

Avoid finely-patterned or striped fabrics as they can strobe on the cameras. Block colours are best!

Avoid deep blacks, bright whites, and nudes – they all cause lighting problems.

Avoid scarves and turtlenecks as they can muffle your audio or rub against your microphone.

Avoid excessive jewelry, especially jewelry that will glare in the lights or jangle noisily.

Wear nicely fitted clothes that are well pressed and wrinkle-free.

Be weary about the hot weather!

Getting to cop28 We are operating daily shuttles to and from the Hotel to the COP28 grounds at the times listed below.

WHO CAN USE THE SHUTTLE SERVICE? INTERVIEWEES On the day of your interview we will automatically reserve space in the shuttle unless you specify otherwise. If you decide to make your own arrangements to get to COP28, or you would like to meet us in the Green Zone on the day of your Interview - please make this known to a member of the team.

Getting to the Interview On the day of the interview, we will escort you to the studios door-to-door and we therefore ask you to be present at either one of the 2 designated meeting points listed below:

If you're coming from the hotel -

Meet us in the lobby 1.5 hours before your scheduled interview.

We will operate a number of shuttles to and from the Hotel and the Cop28 Greenzone and the journey to COP will take approximately 25 mins. On the next page, we outline the timings in further detail.

STUDIO

If you're meeting us directly at COP28 -

Meet us at the AL FORSAN ENTRANCE to the COP 45 Mins before the interview is scheduled to start.

In both locations there will be a member of the Team who will be equipped with your mobile number and email address.

It is important that we know where you intend to meet us on the day of the interview, so please do communicate with the team in advance if you’ll be joining us from the hotel or at the Al Forsan Entrance. (see map)

If you would like to receive your pass before your interview, we will be permanently based at COP and we will be able to issue and deliver your pass at the Al Forsan entrance.

Interview Moderator LAURA BUCKWELL Dubai-based, British national Laura Buckwell is a an industry event EMCEE, moderator and former TV news anchor.

As a prominent figure within the events industry, Laura enjoys hosting high profile industry platforms, including the 18th Session for UNIDO, the FII Riyadh, the Global Smart Energy Summit, Hypermotion and the Future Sustainability Summit to name a few. Laura has had the privilege of introducing global leaders to the stage including Presidents, Ministers, and UN officials.

Interview Moderator Andrew Wilson

Andrew Wilson is a vastly experienced news presenter, award-winning foreign correspondent and an experienced conference host and facilitator.

A former Sky News presenter, he reported on the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, and covered almost every major conflict around the world, from Kuwait to Bosnia, and from Haiti to Chechnya.

He was a correspondent for TV-am in Hong Kong and Johannesburg, and at Sky News was a correspondent in Moscow, Jerusalem, and Washington, winning international awards for his coverage from all three postings.

THE INTERVIEW ITSELF… The 2 hour slot will be divided into 1 hour of sit-down interview, and 1 hour of B-roll filming. This might happen in either order depending on our team’s setup, so please be prepared for either.

INTERVIEW We would like to record the whole interview in one take where possible, but we can do retakes if needed as long as this does not exceed one hour of filming.

B-ROLL Shooting B-Roll with the journalist, which shall be used for the introduction of your film, will happen in the Green Zone (a 5 -10 minute walk from the studio) Should you have any specific booths you would like featured, let us know in advance and we can coordinate filming there.

GETTING TO COP28 If you are coming from the hotel, you must meet us in the Lobby 1.5 hours before your Interview is scheduled. You will be taken in the shuttle to the COP28 grounds to the Al Forsan Entrance.

If you're already at COP28, you must meet us by the Al Forsan Entrance 45 mins before your interview.

Please notify us where you intend to meet us.

Entering COP28 As you already have your accreditation pass, the security steps as you enter the COP28 Grounds will be swift and straightforward. You will enter the COP28 through the Al Forsan Entrance and pass through a security screening.

You will be guided through this process by a TBD team member and will then be guided to the studios in the Al Forsan Park where you will be introduced to the Moderators, Laura & Andrew.
