Community Builders Group helps Butler County seniors with needed home support services After Butler resident Ralph Cepec’s wife died last year, he felt overwhelmed by all of the housework that needed to be done, on top of sorting through his wife’s belongings. “I was stuck here with a lot to do,” he says. “I needed help going through all of the closets, getting rid of clothes and other things, and doing the ongoing cleaning, especially in the kitchen and bathroom.”
Then Ralph’s doctor told him about a program called NDC Home Support Services. Since June of last year, he has been receiving in-home support every Thursday with cleaning, laundry and other housekeeping tasks. “It has panned out pretty well and the woman who comes in to help, Courtney, has been a godsend,” Ralph says. “She has helped me sort through my belongings, starting with one cupboard
and drawer at a time. She helps me keep a clean home and it’s also nice to have company and someone to talk to every week. It has given me a breath of air to settle myself down and to have a clean house.
