Awards and Recognitions

multi-specialty academic medical center and one of the nation’s largest integrated health systems, Cleveland Clinic has a strong reputation for outstanding quality and cost-effective care.

Our teams at Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Maroone Cancer Center, Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer Center, and Scully-Welsh Cancer Center, provide outstanding patient care based on the principles of teamwork, compassion and innovation. Spanning southeast Florida, the five-hospital regional Cleveland Clinic Florida health system offers physicians a nonprofit, multispecialty practice setting. It’s an environment in which there is acknowledgment that providing care for the whole person requires time-intensive physician/patient encounters in the clinic and at the bedside.

We take that “Patient First” philosophy even further with opportunities for physicians to integrate research and education with their clinical and hospital care to benefit their patients and advance their own knowledge.

The Florida-based cancer care team harnesses the full resources of Cleveland Clinic, including collaboration with the Taussig Cancer Institute in Cleveland, Ohio, which is one of the top cancer centers in the country and part of the NCI-designated Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. Many of our physicians contribute to or serve as principal investigators on clinical trials with the National Cancer Institute (NCI). And our physicians and their patients have access to the groundbreaking work being done at The Cleveland Clinic Florida Research and Innovation Center (FRIC) in translating basic science discovery to next-generation treatments for cancer.
