Mediterranean and Greek cuisine have made a strong mark on American menus, celebrated for their fresh flavors, health benefits, and versatility. In fact, it’s the third fastest growing QSR segment in America.
This selection intensifies our Zebec® Mediterranean portfolio by adding a wide variety of proteins, breads, appetizers, dips, spreads, and desserts to the recently announced other items in Zebec® Mediterranean which include chicken skewers, Greek seasoning, hummus and Greek yogurt-based Tzatziki. This initial product portfolio includes 21 items: oval naan and a 9” flatbread wraps, ideal for Souvlaki, 6-inch and 7-inch white pita including a 6-inch pita with a pocket and pita chips. Proteins, several of which are Halal, to wrap in the breads include traditional pre-sliced, off the cone, fully cooked beef and lamb gyro meat in10-lb. and 16-lb. packs, 2/5-lb. sliced, off the cone, fully cooked pork gyro meat, and 2/5-lb. fully cooked sliced chicken shawarma. For a more traditional look, we are also offering a raw 2/20-lb. and 1-30-lb. pack size of gyro meat on the cone. A shawarma or gyro would be incomplete without a variety of sauces, dips and spreads, like tzatziki, traditional hummus, feisty feta and roasted red pepper hummus, a perfect garnish for sandwich and bowls. In addition to the suite of breads and proteins, we also have falafel dough in a tub and pre-formed falafel pucks, spanakopita appetizers and the sweet ending of honey-soaked baklava.
