IMPORTED ARTISAN DRY PASTA
When Mr. Louis G. Piancone left his mother country of Italy for the American Dream in 1951 he brought with him his love of Italian foods and soon founded what would become the legendary Roma Food. His passion took him far in life and Mr. Piancone, Mr. P as he was affectionately called was a pioneer in procuring high quality Italian foods and making them available to pizzerias and restaurants across America.
The Piancone® Epicureo brand pays homage to Mr. P and is reserved for the premium products with culinary craftmanship that can only be worthy of the Piancone namesake. Piancone® Epicureo Imported Artisan Dry Pasta is one of those products.
Located some 125 miles from Louis’ hometown of Corato, this authentic premium pasta is made in Gragnano, a small Italian town where the art of making pasta dates back centuries. These superior ingredients allow us to create artisan, bronze-die extruded pasta shapes and innovative new varieties. The very best first extraction of durum wheat semolina and water from the “Imbuto” spring are gently kneaded together and extrudes using bronze dies, then finished by a long and delicate drying process conducted at low temperatures to create this exceptionally high-quality artisan pasta with an outstanding texture, flavor and shape. We think this pasta is extraordinary and hope that you’ll enjoy creating masterpieces with this outstanding product.

“My father always told us, “with quality and good service” your company will always survive. When it comes to our branded products, our customers know what to expect.
Mr P. turned over every stone possible to find the best quality for the Roma brands because he wanted only the best for his customers.
It’s with these attributes that the legacy was built and lives on.”
