Following a visit to the Chatham Islands in September 2019, CEO Ed Chignell helped draft a MOU between Predator Free 2050 Limited, DOC and the Chatham Island Community Council to support the vision and work of the Chatham Islands Landscape Restoration Group. A job description was prepared to guide the appointment of a jointly funded coordinator to progress a Predator Free Chatham Island project. New Zealand Geographic cover story ‘Predator-Free by 2050?’ in January/ February 2020 was one of the longest articles the magazine has published. It offered a 34-page stocktake of progress around the country. “All of the projects are seeking, and finding, a sweet spot between agency implementation, community ownership and individual action,” wrote
