THE SKY TOUGHER
A New Dialogue with the New York Skyline
Sky Tougher redefines the architectural language of New York City’s skyline through its bold juxtaposition of fluid, sculptural form against the rigid orthogonality of its urban context. The tower’s dynamic voids and curvilinear geometry challenge traditional verticality, creating a striking visual and spatial interplay. Its design embodies the concept of resilience and adaptability, reflecting the evolving relationship between organic form and structured modernity in an ever-changing metropolis.
SKY TOUGHER A New Dialogue with the New York Skyline
Sky Tougher employs an exoskeletal framework, visible in the sectional drawings, which integrates structural support with aesthetic form. The exterior lattice structure not only provides stability but also defines the building’s iconic visual identity. This structural strategy minimizes the need for internal columns, allowing for open, flexible spaces within. Steel beams and anodized aluminum panels are used throughout, ensuring durability and a modern finish. Key load-bearing elements are strategically positioned to accommodate large voids in the façade, creating the building’s distinctive fluid geometry.

LONGITUDIAL PITCH EXAMPLE
New York, NY
PARRISH ART MUSEUM
Library Shed or THE SHED CLOUD - a renovated and extended vertically, an early twentieth-century Washington Heights Library that was built as part of The New York Public Library system. The audio-visual center program is designed to expand their private educational operations as well as the public interface - providing these institutions with the civic potential as community learning spaces for content generation and viewing. The project’s design philosophy represents a stark contrast between existing and new structures, incorporating a transparent oblique parasite that attaches to an existing structure. This design element serves the building’s fundamental need for natural light, connecting visitors with reading. “Library Shed” combines old and new, creating a bright and airy atmosphere.

NY GRAND MARKET
Roosevelt Park, New York
GRAND MARKET
Roosevelt Park, New York
NY Grand Market emerges as a contemporary reinterpretation of urban space, skillfully intertwining cultural heritage and forward-thinking architectural design. Dominated by a grand, undulating wooden roof, the structure not only provides vital solar shading for the market and basketball court but also serves as an architectural statement that challenges the rigid orthogonality of New York City’s skyline. This sweeping canopy, crafted from sustainable materials, blurs the boundaries between functionality and sculptural artistry, creating an iconic visual identity for the community it serves.
Anchored in the existing social fabric of the area, the preserved basketball court underscores a commitment to honoring local traditions while the addition of classrooms, offices, and dining spaces expands the site’s role into a multifunctional hub for education, collaboration, and communal engagement. Through its thoughtful integration of form, materiality, and programmatic versatility, NY Grand Market transcends conventional typologies, offering a nuanced dialogue between past and present, permanence and adaptability, and structure and environment.

CONCEPT PROJECTS
DESERT ISLAND
The design of the desert island establishes a continuous fluid connection between the area surrounding it and the interior of the building. The landscape, as the main surface accessible to it all, as part of the urban design of a natural desert, rises in such a way as to equally embrace the public interior space and define a sequence of event spaces dedicated to the collective celebrations of the modern and traditional culture of an endless natural desert. Thoughtful structures of undulations, branches, folds, and distorted surfaces of the dunes transform into an architectural landscape that performs many functions, welcoming, embracing, and guiding visitors through different levels of the interior.
The building transforms and flows to emphasize the continuous connection between the exterior and interior. The lighting design strategy changes the building’s day and night reading. The use of semireflective glass creates a unique glimmer inside the building without revealing the smooth trajectory of the interior space inside.

Haus Gables is a residential project created by Ollinger Architects located in Atlanta, Georgia. The house is named after its prominent gable roof design, which provides a distinctive and unique appearance to the property.
Haus Gables represents a contemporary take on the traditional American bungalow, seamlessly blending modern and traditional design elements to create a visually stunning and functional space. Following that idea, we created a new design in order to accommodate 8 people instead of 4.
MIRAGE
OR A LITTLE ISLAND IN NAMIBIA
An architectural project called “Mirage” is located in the Namibian Desert. It is an observation deck that features a unique combination of organic and geometric design elements. Intertwined, flowing concrete bands form a dynamic, sculptural base that supports a delicate garden oasis above.
The garden is sheltered by ethereal canopies that evoke the mirage-like quality of a lush escape amid the arid landscape.
The fundamental concept behind this project can be stated as: “Mirage stands as a sculptural interplay between the stark beauty of the desert and a verdant sanctuary embodying an oasis of contemplation and contrast.”
