We hope we can inspire you to "virtually travel around th is amazing to get in an airplane and travel...but sometime we we can't do it physically.. So then we can travel virtually together following our friends online and creating digital composites. People ask me why I created PetPix World. I have a lot of reasons... but one of them is to find a way to share with our loved ones the beauty of the world, to unite the pet community and, together, each of us can finally be united. One day I told my husband." if I don't take photos and videos I can't share with my dad our life and fun journey." Now finally for the first time I know TOGETHER we can share and travel around the world. I love Paris. I was there for my 25th birthday...today each of us we can go there simply by reading our magazine, listening to Petpix World Podcasts, watching our live interviews or taking our courses. We can't THANK YOU ENOUGH for sharing with us YOU and YOUR fur babies journeys. I am so EXCITED FOR THE FUTURE! There is so much to learn, see and expirience TOGETHER! THANK YOU!
People generally choose a breed of dog that best matches their personality. I have had 17 Maltese since 1986. My TWO Maltese are Whitney & Houston. They are gentle mannered, affectionate, lively, playful, fearless, intelligent, energetic, loyal companions, who are graceful and extremely lovable. A beautiful and elegant breed that took me to the Mediterranean Sea/Island of Malta in 2006 in search of the History of the Maltese. Whitney and Houston were named after my admiration for the talented American Singer/Actress Whitney Houston and My Greatest Love of All... Children.
My precious babies are actually my 10th and 11th and were bought in San Diego, California. We drove across the United States as a Pregnant Whitney and Future Daddy Houston. God Blessed them as they were only puppies not yet even a year old themselves.
Their SIX Maltese puppies were born May 1, 2022 at a local hotel. Happily, they were all adopted by loving new families. The puppy stories, photos, and adoptions will follow in upcoming PetPix WORLD Magazines.
A Whitney and Houston Calendar is published to support my voice for Homeless Animals and Abuse, which has been a dedicated platform ALL MY LIFE.
Do you know that dogs choose you, way before you choose them? We come to your lives at the right time and sometimes during the darkest and lowest season of your lives. We have so much love to give, and we love you for who you are. We are well known to have the energy, so you can definitely borrow ours when you don’t have enough to stand on your own. We also give you endless hugs and kisses to uplift you when you feel low.
Allow me to share a story that will change your perspective in life, and will hopefully melt your heart. My mommy is Angel; my dad is Anjilou (a unique spelling of Angelo); and their firstborn is Anjela Faith. They prayed and waited for her for 13 years. Mommy and baby Anjela were both healthy, but for no definite reason they lost her on November 13th, 2020, during her 2nd trimester pregnancy. One in four pregnancy results in miscarriage; unfortunately they were one in four. They held their baby girl for only a little over two hours at the hospital. Her heart stopped beating in the arms of daddy; and even though they begged the hospital staff to take her to the NICU because her heart was still beating at the time, the doctors said she was not viable for life. For them, this was the darkest, saddest, and most painful moment of their lives. They were at the top of the mountain when they learned they were going to be parents; but in a matter of hours, they were dragged into the deepest valley. Baby Anjela was wrapped in a tiny crochet blanket and hat. During this precious time, they talked to her, sang her favorite song, and prayed for her. With tears overflowing, they were in awe of how beautiful and perfect she looked. It was a lifetime moment that they tried to squeeze into a very short time. They came home with a box instead of a baby. Needless to say, they were devastated.
Undoubtedly, my pawrents experienced the darkest season of their lives. They fell into a pit of unbearable pain. It was rather not a surprise that depression came very naturally. Everything seemed gloomy and weighted like a ton. Every little movement required an enormous amount of energy to accomplish. Soon, they felt that nothing else mattered to them, not the house they so joyously bought two years before, not the success in their careers, not even the laurels they both so majestically celebrated. The pain was so unbearable that they shut themselves out from the world. They had no idea how to get back to their feet again; how to cope with the pain; nor how to smile again. This all happened in the middle of the pandemic, and it made it harder to be around people. All of their family members were in the Philippines, so they could only show their support virtually. Fortunately, they had friends who expressed their love in action from flowers, meal drop off, gifts, prayers and in person visits (some even stayed outside their home, sang worship songs & prayed).

Claudia Kawczynska, contributor to The Wildest an online magazine for all things animal, states,"Bone broth is all the rage these days whether you’re simmering your own at home or buying your own “brodo” online, humans can’t slurp up enough for its purported health benefits."
“It is a strong rejuvenating potion high in minerals, amino acids, glucosamine and many more valuable nutrients,” says veterinarian Dr Judy Morgan, DVM “It can be served alone or mixed with meals.” She also notes that bone broth can be used to cook grains and vegetables, or rehydrate freeze dried food "
What is bone broth you ask? "Bone broth is a mineral rich stock made by boiling bones along with (dog friendly) herbs and spices for over a day. This makes it a nutrient dense, extremely easy, tasty super food for dogs." Bone Broth, as compared to beef or chicken broth, is cooked until the bones break and crumble. Beef or chicken broth is cooked a few hours and doesn't draw out the many vital, easily absorbable, hydrating nutrients that provide the necessary building blocks to boost your dog’s overall health. Bone broth is excellent for supporting bone and joint health, and supporting gut health. It is also a good means of keeping your dog hydrated which is so important.
3 to 4 pounds (or more) raw bones with marrow
3 inches ginger root, sliced 2 ounces parsley, chopped 2 stalks celery, chopped
¼ cup organic raw apple cider vinegar (it helps pull the
minerals and marrow from the bones)
1 tsp Turmeric 6 quarts water
Put all ingredients in a large pot, slow cooker, or instant pot. Cook on low heat for 12 hours in a pot, 24 hours in the slow cooker on low, or 3 or 4 hours in an instant pot.
Allow to cool. Remove and discard bones (never feed cooked whole or splinter bones). Put broth in the refrigerator and allow the fat to rise to the top. Skim fat and discard.
Notes: Raw bones are recommended. You can add in extra bones that have already been cooked, for example roasted; some of the nutrients have already been lost, but you can reuse them to extract every last bit.
Store up to a year in frozen containers. I put them in the plastic ice trays and take one out at a time, warm it up and pour it over my Tai's food. Since I feed raw it is usually cold (and who likes a cold dinner?) this helps to warm it up. You can also put it over BROWN rice as an additional filler. I also like to grind the bones up until they are powder FINE and put them back in the broth.
We hope your fur babies enjoy it!
Petpix World is partnering with the CFDDA to help Pet Rescue Pilots. PRP flies pets out of shelters and lands them safely in the loving arms of rescue groups, fosters, and forever families. Pet Rescue Pilots is a non profit network that helps with the immediate needs of pet relocation by air. Soaring on the wings of generosity, we coordinate with multiple local rescue organizations to transport pets from the overcrowded city and county shelters of California and land them in the loving arms of rescue groups, foster families, and forever homes across the west coast of the United States and Canada. Rescue by air means saving more pets over a greater distance in less time; whereas a drive from California to Oregon is 18 hours, a flight takes just 3. On an average ground transport, a rescue group may be able to fit up to 10 dogs but in our plane, we’ve carried as many as 40 pets to safety in one flight. On the ground, Pet Rescue Pilots is as comitted to taking small steps as we are champions for big change. PRP advocates for responsible pet guardianship and shaping long term solutions through education and legislation for managing the number of homeless pets Chief Rescue Pilot Julian Javor participates in local government and speaking engagements regarding these issues. Our efforts are fueled by donations, corporate, and private support. Only together will we reach our ultimate destination: a world where every pet lives a happy life in a safe and loving home.
There are three types of certified dogs that serve their owners in official capacity. Let’s explore them
ESA or Emotional Support Animal.
Emotional support animals help individuals with emotional disabilities such as anxiety or depression by providing comfort and support. Any animal can be an emotional support animal.
Federal law does not require these animals to have any specific training and you do not have to be physically disabled to have an emotional support animal. Having • Anxiety• Depression• Bipolar/mood disorders• Panic attacks• Stress• PTSD• Personality disorders• Fear/phobias are all reasons to have an emotional support animal. In order to prove that an animal is an emotional support animal, you may be asked to provide documentation from a licensed professional (doctor, psychiatrist, or other mental health professional) stating that the animal is an essential part of treatment for a disability. A landlord or business may ask you to provide a doctor’s note or they could deny you and your emotional support animal. Regardless of whether you are asked to show a doctor’s letter, it is very helpful to have one on file just in case.
Registration for the animal costs around $90 and getting a Doctor’s approval letter in order to register costs between $180 and $200.Next the Therapy dog. A Therapy dog has to be able to tolerate all people. They have to be very socialized and loving of adults and children. There needs to be an ability to cheer people up with their loving ways but still playful with children. It requires a very patient pup as well. A Therapy dog goes thru a training period and then is tested in many different circumstances and situations. When they pass their test they are certified. They go into hospitals to cheer sick folks up. They go into nursing homes and make people happy. Often the folks they visit want to cuddle and hold them. It is up to their handler (who in this case is healthy person)
In August we were seriously considering getting a third pup. We currently have 2 girls and thought it would be nice to have a boy. In the beginning of our search we were looking for a puppy. None of our near by rescues had any puppies. We currently have a Maltese and a Morkie. We wanted to stay with the small, no shedding breeds. My inquires lead me to a friend who had a 1.5 yr old Maltese that she was selling.
I started seriously considering this option. He would be potty trained and hopefully personality be defined. It was important that he would be able to blend with the girls and the girls with him. Seeing that he came from a family with several dogs of both sexes this should not be an issue.
This was the way to go for our family I contacted my friend that we are interested and she started to make the plans a reality. Tiamo is coming to us from the east coast so we had to figure out how to get him to us. We decided to use a dog Nanny. After a very long day on airplanes and airports I was finally able to meet, face to face, Tiamo and I was instantly in love. He is absolutely perfect. We are in love and could not be happier.
LeeAnn (Happy Parent to Tiamo Tayo)Atenas Judit, è la mia prima cagnolina.
