Petoskey Area History

The Petoskey Area is steeped in rich history and is privileged to have it well-documented throughout the region. From Native American history to Harbor Springs innovation, the Inland Waterway and Ernest Hemingway, there are plenty of museums and cultural centers to visit.

Crooked Tree Arts Center

Constructed in 1890 as a church, today it is an award-winning art center. Enjoy exhibits in the gallery and purchase local artists’ work. Concerts, plays, and lectures are featured in the 220-seat theater.
