The Winter season so far

As we find ourselves mid-way through Winter, we take the time to reflect on the season so far, talk about our 2025 financial year results and think about what updated capital rates values really mean.

Starting with our sales summary, we are thrilled to announce the successful sale of multiple properties across the greater Hobart area, since the start of June to present. This season’s sales highlights so far include federation masterpieces such as 369 Huon Road, breathtaking beachside residences such as 2 Esplanade and character filled family homes such as 16 Mortimer Avenue, to name but a few.

These early Winter sales prove that with the right marketing campaign and sales strategy, the season still brings motivated buyers eager to up-size, downsize or find a fresh perspective. We have witnessed a consistent level of activity, dispelling the myth that there is no such thing as ‘selling season’.

Pivoting to the 2025 financial year, we extend our thanks to the 1000+ clients, who trusted Peterswald with buying, selling or managing their property over the last 12 months. We generated record results including selling 424 properties, with the total value of property sold sitting at over $399 million. In addition to this, our growing Property Management team leased 191 properties. A phenomenal year of delivering unrivalled results for our clients.

Bringing the focus back to the new financial year, we are presented with annual rates notices in our letterboxes. Typically, at this time of year, we receive a lot of enquiries from people regarding the updated capital value of their property, wondering if it aligns with the true market value and what it means for the future.
