Der XLV. Jahrgang der Simpliciana versammelt die Beiträge zur interdisziplinären Tagung “Orthodoxie – Heterodoxie. Diskurspolitiken der Rechtgläubigkeit in der (Literatur der) Frühen Neuzeit”, die vom 15. bis zum 17. Juni 2023 in Würzburg stattgefunden hat.
Die Untersuchung beleuchtet die Familiendarstellungen in den Angestelltenromanen der Weimarer Republik. Sie zeigt auf, dass die Autoren mit Hilfe dieser Darstellungen die prekäre Situation der Familie und die der Angestellten offenlegen, beide kritisch hinterfragen und auch Zusammenhänge herstellen.

Zwischen 1949 und 1989 nahmen Kunstabbildungen in Lesebüchern einen gewichtigen Raum ein. La obra aborda el tema de la culpa en Effi Briest. Primeramente se ofrece un acercamiento teórico a la culpa a partir de aspectos sociohistóricos, filosóficos y religiosos. Praxis is a methodological exercise in cultural studies described as “engaging”, which requires the inclusion of individuals and communities in the process of using a theory of culture as a tool of social criticism. The key is to treat cultural studies as a workshop in which the researcher changes from a distant observer into a practical person.
In her book, the author proposes a look at Dutch painting of the Golden Age through the eyes of contemporary writers. The researcher examines landscapes, genre paintings, still lifes and portraits of both great and small Dutch masters, interpreted in the spirit of 19th-century artistic criticism.
