Der Einfluss der Übersetzung der napoleonischen Gesetzbücher auf die italienische Rechtssprache ist unbestritten. Anhand von Archivquellen, vor allem zwei Handschriften des übersetzten Code de commerce, zeigt sich, wie diese frühen Fachübersetzungen durchgeführt wurden: Neben Fragen der Rechtsübersetzung spielt auch Übersetzungspolitik eine Rolle.

The book provides frameworks for analyzing the rhetorical uses and potential dangers of narratives and fictionality. The chapters deal with various storytelling environments, such as social media, news media, literary fiction and non-fiction. The book offers new perspectives of the rhetorical and ethical problematics of narratives and fictionality.
The book discusses how Polish scholars created an image of ancient Greece in the first half of the nineteenth century. In an era when Poles were deprived of their own independent state, classical philology, historiography, and literary studies became the arena of struggle to mark one’s own subjectivity on the map of Europe’s rival humanities.
