A civic leader and athlete, Peter Imbert was a 4-year varsity wrestler at St. John’s and MVP of the 1977 League. He served 14 years as an ocean lifeguard and 16 years as Amityville’s mayor. A charter PLUS member, he was named “Man of the Year” by the Amityville PBA in 2004.
