To explore this conundrum, we decamped with a Victoria’s Secret photographer and two beautiful women. We brought trunks of silk stockings, garter belts, corsets, camisoles and other diaphanous delicates to both conceal and reveal the beauty of the female form. En Garter

Garter belts keep thigh-high stockings from sliding down. Unclipping them adds to the drama of the moment, underscoring the fact that all lingerie is a puzzle of sorts, a mystery that leads to the question: How does this thing come off, and who is going to do it?

Bare Necessities
