The Centre Studying with PET-Xi, near the heart of Coventry and Warwick’s academic heart, you will enjoy the best of both worlds the dynamic feeling of a friendly student city and the excitement of a bustling cultural centre. The course will also include statistical and graph/chart analysis, an ideal introductory course to Business English. Reduced fee available for two courses. Save money. Business English (Academic) Ideal 2 - 24 week course for learners whose first language is not English and would like a business-related course to boost their skills in reading and writing. Discover the origins, varieties and cultural nuances that form the world’s premier business language. Employment study skills will also be covered. Learn Smarter. Business Skills Course (Soft Skills) All courses contain soft skills as required to meet your corporate and individual requirements. Training modules such as Presentation Skills, Formal Speaking, minutes and interpersonal skills covered. Improve performance at work while making international friends and contacts. One to One Tuition These lessons are designed for students who would like to improve particular skills in English or who would like to focus on English for special purposes. One to One sessions can be a great way to improve skills over a short period of time. PET-Xi is flexible around students’ commitments; you choose when and how often you would like to study. Our one-to-one lessons are also an excellent confidence-builder before a group programme. General English This course is offered as a standalone course, helping learners to improve reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, grammar, vocabulary and punctuation. The course offers a great opportunity to improve confidence and usage of English, share cultural experiences, get involved in a lively exciting class or just meet people and have fun! General English can be streamlined to support the delivery of professional and academic training. PET-Xi will coordinate with specialist training institutes where necessary, ensuring learners have the required skills to understand, contribute and fully benefit from specific or specialised training. Business Skills Course (Soft Skills) What are Soft Skills? Soft skills is a term used by employers to refer to the more non-technical abilities of potential employees, referring to the general disposition and personality of a candidate. Soft skills relate to attitudes and intuition. They often take precedence over professional experience. Being able to demonstrate your soft skills equates to demonstrating great potential to succeed and progress in the career of your choice. Why do Soft Skills Matter? Soft skills are the difference between adequate and ideal candidates. In most competitive job markets, employees will be looking for people who can become leaders, and leadership itself, depends on several key soft skills.
