About Kickstart PET-Xi is here to support the wide range of employers that will make the Kickstart Scheme a success, acting as intermediaries we can support employers with placements across the Kickstart Scheme. Employing young people to improve their skills is hugely beneficial to both them and employers. The Kickstart Scheme allows businesses to help young people aged 16-24, who are currently on universal credit, to develop the skills they need to find work through valuable 6 month job placements. You can receive funding from the Government to cover 25 hours per week at National Minimum Wage, plus employer NI and pension contributions, as well as grants of £1500 per role to cover the cost of training and employability support. For £750, which is only 50% of your training allocation, we can take the pressure of the required employability and additional training they need during their 6 month placement, All kickstart Trainees will receive one level 2 qualification and a choice of non-accredited Sessions. PET-Xi have a programme designed to fit around your business needs, and ensure the best possible outcomes for your business and the participant. All training can be delivered nationally and is currently delivered remotely, using our unique ‘Live Learning’ platform. Level 2 - Personal Development For Employability The objective of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment and/or support a role in the workplace: Trainee will learn: • Health and safety in the workplace • How to build working relationships • Interview techniques • How to prepare for an interview • How to job search • Support completing application forms


Resilience-Stress Management The course covers the importance of personal resilience and how this can help you to cope with stress, and finally will help you learn the steps to carry out a risk assessment for work-related stress. Trainee will learn: • Defining stress • The causes of stress at work • Effects of stress on job performance • Strategies for managing stress • Stress reduction • Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulation • HSE’s management standards


Management Of Self - Time Management Learn skills and techniques to be able to prioritise own and team’s time, become more productive and efficient. Trainee will learn: • Understand time management techniques and tools, and how to prioritise activities and approaches to planning • Able to create an effective personal development plan and use time management techniques to manage workload and pressure


Communication Skills Understand how to use different forms of communication effectively. Trainee will learn: • Understand different forms of communication and their application. Know how to chair meetings, hold challenging conversations, provide constructive feedback, and understand how to raise concerns • Able to communicate effectively (verbal, written, digital), chair meetings and present to team and management. Use of active listening and provision of constructive feedback


Building Relationships - Dealing With Conflict Learn how to manage relationships with customers, colleagues and partners. Trainee will learn: • Understand approaches to customer and stakeholder relationship management, including emotional intelligence and managing conflict • Know how to facilitate cross team working to support delivery of organisational objectives • Building trust with and across the team, using effective negotiation and influencing skills and managing any conflicts • Able to add input to discussions and provide feedback (to team and more widely) and identify and share good practice across teams • Building relationships with customers and managing these effectively


Level 2 - Team Leading This qualification is aimed at individuals working within a team leading role or aspiring to be a team leader in a variety of workplace settings and sectors. Team leading will help to develop leadership responsibilities, as well as manage and provide direction to a team. Trainee will learn: • How to develop working relationships • To understand the importance of information exchange and feedback • How to identify work related difficulties and find possible solutions • Leadership styles • How to motivate, support and encourage a team • Principles of resource management • How to monitor and undertake development effectively • How to lead team members to achieve team objectives • Planning and allocating work • Monitoring and evaluating the performance of team members


Level 2 - Conflict Management Conflict management qualifications are ideal for any individual who requires conflict resolution training, particularly if they are likely to encounter a conflict situation in the workplace. It is not just geared towards those who work in a security setting, but can be taken by people working in any number of sectors. Trainee will learn: • Knowledge and understanding in conflict management. • Better understanding of how to prevent conflict situations, • To gain more confidence in being able to deal with conflict situations should they arise of how to reduce potential conflict through communication • How to manage unrealistic expectations


Leading People - Coaching And Training Learn how to adapt leadership skills to support and coach staff and improve performance. Trainee will learn: • Understand different leadership styles and the benefits of coaching to support people and improve performance. Understand organisational cultures, equality, diversity, and inclusion • Able to communicate organisation strategy and team purpose and adapt style to suit the audience • Support the development of the team and people through coaching, role modelling values and behaviours, and managing change effectively


Level 2 - Customer Services Customer services programme is delivered over 4 days. This course is suitable for employees who are using Customer Service within their job role and need to develop their skills further. Whether your goal is to build a more positive face to face customer experience or enhance satisfaction, our FREE Customer Service Excellence Training can be adapted to the needs of your employees. Trainee will learn: • How to create a professional first impression • To manage and develop customer relationships • How customer service impacts on the success of the organisation • Techniques on how to respond to complaints and problems • Audience appropriate communication • Legislation used in customer service


Customer Service Masterclass The objective of this 1-day programme is to support learners who work or wish to work in the customer service sector and wish to improve their knowledge of this area resulting in the achievement of a nationally recognised qualification. The qualification provides learners with the knowledge and understanding in customer service for learners who deal, or intend to deal, with customers on a daily basis as part of their job role. The qualification is applicable to a variety of work environments. Trainee will learn: • Describe the principles of customer service • Understand how customer needs and expectations are formed • Understand principles of responding to customers’ problems or complaints • Identify the interpersonal and team working skills required in the customer service environment • Identify the legislation which supports the customer service process


Level 2 - IT User Skills - Microsoft Office This 5-day programme is suitable for employees who are using IT within their job role and need to develop their skills further. The programme will help develop expertise and competence in IT and to apply knowledge, understanding and skills to a level recognised by the relevant National Occupational Standards (NOS) published by e-skills UK. On successful completion of the programme the employee will be awarded a Level 2 qualification in IT User Skills, accredited by NCFE. Trainee will learn: • How to identify security issues and threats • Essential skills to meet GDPR compliance • How to use formulas and functions to improve productivity and accuracy • How to present and analyse data • Professional presentation techniques


IT Security For Users This qualification is to allow learners to demonstrate understanding of data security. It will help learners progress to a work role where data protection and data security knowledge is required. Trainee will learn: • Identify security issues and threats to system performance • Taking security precautions • Threats to information security • Taking precautions to keep information secure • Following relevant guidelines and procedures for the secure use of IT • Why it is important to back up data securely • Backing up personal data to appropriate media


Level 2 - Microsoft Excel The programme will help develop expertise and competence in IT and to apply knowledge, understanding and skills to a level recognised by the relevant National Occupational Standards (NOS) published by e-skills UK. On successful completion of the programme the employee will be awarded a Level 2 qualification in Microsoft excel accredited by NCFE. Trainee will learn: • Basics of Excel • Introduction to Formulas & Functions • Managing Worksheets • Analysing Data • Presenting Data & more Functions • Printing & Sharing • Excel - 7 Additional questions (written answers about various tools and formula errors)


Level 2 - Health And Social Care The objective of this qualification is to prepare learners to progress to a qualification in the same subject area but at a higher level or requiring more specific knowledge, skills and understanding. It is aimed at those working or preparing to work in adult social care and aims to introduce knowledge only around areas relating to adult social care. Trainee will learn: • Communication • Equality, diversity and inclusion • Personal development • Role of the social care worker • Handling information • Health and safety • Safeguarding • Duty of care • Person centred approaches
