PGA Golf Tips from Jeremy Nicholls at Ledene Golf Centre..... Basic Fundamentals of the Golf Swing With the poor weather returning over the last couple of weeks many of us have not played much golf. So before spring arrives here are several points below which would be worth checking before you finally get back on the golf course. 1.Grip - make sure when holding the club the grip is running diagonally through the fingers on both hands,( not in your palms). 2.The positioning of the ball at address is important to achieve the correct angle of attack. With the driver and fairway woods position the ball inside the left heel and with your irons play the ball in a more central position in your stance. 3.Posture, make sure your weight distribution is evenly balanced on the balls of your feet, shoulders slightly forward over your toes, with your head clear from your chest, and the arms comfortably straight hanging down from your shoulders. Hopefully these points will refresh your mind and will make your practice more productive.
