Welcome to Perth College Foundation Since its founding in 2012, the Perth College Foundation has played a vital role in securing the enduring financial future of Perth College. Our collective efforts ensure the school’s continued reputation as a leading educational institution for girls by raising and allocating funds for scholarships, infrastructure, and enriching innovative programs.

The Foundation’s ongoing dedication is to foster a spirit of giving and support to the transformation of capable, courageous and caring girls into remarkable women.

event, Colours of Christmas, alongside all our Foundation champions and School volunteers. It has been a vibrant and rewarding year shared with so many of you.

It is with deep gratitude and a full heart that I share the Perth College Foundation’s 2025 Annual Report with you.

2025 was also a year in which we turned our attention to the architecture beneath the surface — the governance, strategy, and alignment that will carry the Foundation forward for decades to come. We began the important work of bringing all School and Foundation scholarships under a single umbrella, ensuring that our stewardship is coherent, sustainable, and centred on the girls who are the beneficiaries. This has been a long-held intention, and I am proud that we have taken meaningful steps toward making it a reality.

This past year has been one of quiet significance, defined not by a single landmark moment, but by the steady, purposeful work of building something that will endure.

Our corpus has grown from $26.6 million to $27.9 million, our Annual Appeal, ‘Her Future Begins Here’, raised $74,545 towards our Building and Scholarship Funds, and we were humbled to welcome two new members to the Jacaranda Society. Behind each of these numbers is a story of belief – belief in this School, in its girls, and in the power of a community that shows up, year after year, with extraordinary generosity.

A S EASON OF R E N E WAL As we stepped into a season of connection and reunion, the Foundation came alive through the moments we shared together. We hosted our largest-attended Senior School Musical Pre-Show Function for Anything Goes, with over 100 guests joining us for what was a truly special evening - a glimpse of the passion and talent that has always defined Performing Arts at Perth College. This was followed by a heartfelt high tea for our Jacaranda Society and friends, with over 22 guests gathering for a beautiful morning at Chapels on Whatley. In the second half of the year, we came together again for our highly anticipated joint Scholarship Recipient and Donor Function in October, and closed the year with our festive

We were also deeply moved by the establishment of the Sandra Gray Scholarship, made possible through the estate of a 1951 Old Girl whose connection to Perth College ran through generations of her family who all walked these grounds before her. The first cohort of recipients will join us in 2027, carrying forward a legacy of love for this School that spans more than seventy years. There are few things more powerful than a gift that reaches across time like this.

T H E T HI N G T HA T M A K E S P E R T H COLLEGE DIFFERENT I want to take a moment to share something personal.

Over the past year, I have had the privilege of visiting many schools across cities and countries. I walked through campuses with extraordinary facilities, met impressive leadership teams, and heard ambitious visions for the future.

And yet, without exception, I found myself returning to the same thought: there is a strength to Perth College that comes not only from a deep appreciation of its heritage, but from the way that heritage continues to be lived out, inside and outside the School.

It is the way Old Girls come back — not out of obligation, but because this place still lives in them. It is the donors and supporters who give not only their money and their time, but who carry Perth College in their thoughts, in their conversations, in the quiet decisions they make about what matters. It is the parents who lean into this community with openness and trust. It is the students who, even while they are still here, seem to understand that they are part of something larger than themselves.

I have come to believe that what makes Perth College exceptional is not any single program or building or result — it is the depth of connection between the people who love it. Old Girls, donors, parents, students, staff — this is a community that does not end at the school gate or at graduation. It endures. It deepens. And it is, quite simply, the fact that once a PC girl, always a PC girl.

L O OK ING AHE A D Our Giving Appeal for 2025-2030, Building Her Future, is centred on the places that shape who our girls become – places of connection, reflection, and creativity. As we continue this journey together, 2026 brings a moment of particular significance.

2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the laying of the Chapel foundation stone – a milestone that invites us to reflect on the vision of the Founding Sisters. The Chapel has always been more than a building. It is the very centre of our campus, the foundation of our community life, and the essence of who we are as a school. A century on, it is fitting that our next capital campaign will be dedicated to its refurbishment and renewal – honouring what the Sisters began while ensuring this sacred space continues to serve generations of girls to come. We look forward to launching this campaign in 2026, as we also set our sights on exploration phases for future Master Plan projects, including the Theatre and Windsor Hall.

Message from Perth College Principal The 2025 academic year at Perth College has been a time of renewed purpose, meaningful achievement, and deepened connection across our community.

T O G E T HE R S T R O N G E R In 2025 at Perth College, we were reminded regularly and vividly that schools are built through relationships, shared purpose, and the contributions of a community united in their dedication to young people and building a positive future.

At the beginning of the year, I reflected on the image and metaphor of a mosaic: countless unique pieces coming together to create something richer, stronger and more beautiful than any single element alone. As I look back across the year that has been, this image feels even more fitting. Each student achievement, each act of kindness, each challenge overcome, and each moment of growth has contributed another piece to the story of our School.

LIVING OUR VALUES 2025 has been a year of energy, opportunity and progress. Across classrooms, performance spaces, sporting arenas and service initiatives, our students have demonstrated what it means to live our values of being capable, courageous and caring. We have celebrated exceptional academic outcomes, achievements in music and the arts, state and national representation across diverse pursuits, leadership in service and social justice, and the countless quieter moments of determination and perseverance that are equally worthy of recognition.

This work has provided both reflection and direction — honouring our rich heritage while ensuring we continue to evolve to meet the needs of the young women we serve.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the many donors, benefactors and supporters whose generosity continues to shape our School. Through philanthropic support for scholarships, bursaries and facilities, our community enables opportunities that may otherwise remain out of reach. Our Foundation The core objective of the Foundation is to build enduring financial resilience for the School, ensuring it can provide outstanding educational facilities, a dynamic learning environment, a connected and supportive community, and exceptional opportunities for every student.

As we prioritise the future, the Foundation maintains its commitment to: Work with the School to support major capital projects, initiatives, and redevelopments in support of the School’s long-term Master Plan; and Expand the scholarship base to enhance learning experiences at Perth College and provide opportunities for girls from all walks of life who might otherwise be unable to receive a Perth College education.

The Foundation’s governance and operations are guided by a constitution and maintained by a Board of seasoned experts, bringing extensive experience, providing rigorous oversight and ensuring responsible management. We diligently ensure that all contributions are used for their specified purposes, honouring the trust placed by donors.

Our Board The Perth College Foundation’s Board is responsible for the diligent and transparent management of donated and invested funds, adhering to best practice standards that emphasise, prioritise, and promote the highest principles of accountability, integrity, and exemplary governance.

AN GE L CH E N CH AIR Angel is a strategy and operations executive who builds and scales purpose-driven organisations across the Asia-Pacific. She cofounded DrawHistory, a social impact agency and Western Australia’s first Certified B Corp design consultancy, working with organisations from global names such as Google and the United Nations to leading local institutions including the University of Western Australia and the Fogarty Foundation. In 2025, DrawHistory integrated into Today, Australia’s most awarded impact agency, where Angel continues as an Advisor.

Angel holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce with First Class Honours from UWA and was named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2018.

A Perth College Old Girl, Angel has served on the Old Girls’ Association committee and the Foundation since 2018. Angel was appointed Chair of the Foundation Board in 2023.

Diverse in background and skill, Board members possess expertise in business, law, finance, marketing, and investment, coupled with unwavering dedication and loyalty reflecting the values of the Perth College community.

Charged with safeguarding the Foundation’s mission, our Board provides strategic leadership and oversight to advance our goals, ensuring all decisions and actions are guided by our principles of purpose, integrity, respect, and compassion, while supporting the vision of Perth College.

STEPHANIE FULLARTON VICE CHAIR Stephanie is a Physiotherapist with over 40 years’ experience in Australia and the United States across government, private not-for-profit organisations and tertiary education institutions. Her roles have included clinical, management, community and public health positions, and research roles. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Graduate Diploma in Health Science.

A Perth College Old Girl, Stephanie served as Head Day Girl in her final year and is the parent of a 2017 leaver. She has served on the Old Girls’ Association committee since 2018 including as President between 2019 and 2025. Stephanie was appointed as the OGA representative to Council in 2023 at which time she also joined the Foundation Board.

M ON IQU E CON N OLLY T RE ASU RE R Monique is CFO of an ASX listed company, Greatland Resources Limited. Monique is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 15 years’ experience working in both practice and public listed companies and within mineral extractive industries. Monique commenced her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and held senior finance roles with listed businesses, including ConocoPhillips and Santos Limited. She has a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions and driving continuous improvement around financial reporting, systems, and processes. Monique is a Perth College Old Girl and joined the Council in 2022.

Y V E T T E JON E S DIRE CT OR Yvette is a lawyer, nationally accredited mediator and dispute resolution professional who has worked across private practice, government, not-forprofit and tertiary education sectors over the past 20 years. She possesses a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution and Graduate Diploma in Psychology. She is a proud Perth College Old Girl, past parent of a recent Perth College school leaver and member of the Old Girls’ Association committee since 2021. Yvette has sat on both the Council and Foundation Boards since 2023.

ROB JACKSON DIRECTOR Rob is the Director, Wealth Management, Financial Planning and Investment Adviser at Canaccord Genuity Financial Limited.

With over 35 years’ experience, Rob specialises in providing and delivering highly personalised wealth management solutions for high net-worth families, individuals, and Foundations – helping clients safeguard their financial future and unique financial objectives. Rob is an Independent Board Member assisting with managing the Foundation’s investment portfolios and has two daughters who have graduated from Perth College.

MARK M E N D E L A W I TZ DIRECTOR Mark has extensive experience in commercial, corporate, and related areas of law including financing and security, capital raising, compliance, joint ventures, succession, and estate planning. Mark has a Master of Laws and is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Australia. Mark works with a broadspectrum of firms and businesses ranging from small businesses to publicly listed companies, property developers, investors, and technology startups. He has two daughters who have graduated from Perth College.

T H E RIGH T RE V E RE N D BISH O P DAV ID BASSE T T DIRE CT OR Bishop David is the Assistant Bishop of Perth.

Previously the Archdeacon assisting the Primate and Archbishop of Adelaide.

Bishop David brings experience as a parish priest, school teacher and chaplain as well as significant school board experience having been on the board of three schools and holding the position of Chair for one of those as well as other boards including church, retirement village and national mission societies. Bishop David is husband to Susan, and a proud parent to two married adult children living in Adelaide.

SARAH M CGAR R Y Principal (Ex-officio)

Sarah is a dynamic educator with an impressive 25-year career in teaching, leadership, and consultancy across Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music Studies from the University of Queensland, where she also lectured at the School of Music. Her academic journey also includes studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Sarah has shared her expertise through presentations at educational conferences and study tours both nationally and internationally. Sarah joined Perth College as Principal in October 2024, and works closely with the School Council and Leadership Team to drive the school’s strategic vision, fostering a culture of growth, innovation, and excellence in education.

A L T A YL O R DIRECTOR Al Taylor is regarded for his strategic and creative capability, particularly in optimising commercial outcomes. As Group MD of the WA communications agency 303, he expanded the brand east and played a key role in its growth to be the largest independently owned agency in Australia, and its subsequent acquisition

by US-listed Interpublic Group (IPG). In 2017, after serving as Chair of 303 MullenLowe, Al joined the Hospitality and Brewing Group, Triple-1-Three, as CEO. In 2022, he stepped down to focus on the strategic advisory and co-founded, Taylor Simpson Jones. Al holds numerous board and strategic advisory positions and is a passionate advocate for the WA cultural community and has two daughters who have graduated from Perth College.

C A N D I C E H E APES Director of Finance (Ex-officio and Secretary)

Candice comes with over 20 years’ financial and business management experience across education management, sporting organisations, oil and energy, manufacturing, not for profit, construction, and mining industries. 10 of these years was in an executive leadership capacity. She brings extensive experience in financial management and governance within the education sector, highlighted by a role as Director Finance and Risk at The Scots College, and Business Manager and Company Secretary at Ascham School and Kambala School in Sydney.

Candice holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Accounting from the University of Stellenbosch, a MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, and professional qualifications as a Chartered Accountant and GAICD.

“Sandra Noni Gray was a very determined, strongwilled, capable and remarkable woman, who cherished her independence and spoke her mind.

She appreciated the value of education, manners, and the development of life and social skills.

Sandra attended Perth College from 1946 to 1951 with her family having a long history of Old Girls who attended the School, including Sandra’s mother Noni Gray (1923), Aunt Eula Gray (1936), Cousin Vanya Cooper (1962), and other extended family members.

Sandra worked at the National Bank, for 40 years, including three years in London.

An avid follower of most sports, Sandra held memberships at the Kings Park Tennis Club, Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA), and West Coast Eagles for many years.

2025 A Year in Review In 2025, the Perth College Foundation entered a season of review and renewal. As our corpus continued to grow steadily, we focused on strengthening the long-term sustainability of Perth College.

In its fourteenth year of operation, significant highlights of this year in review include:

B UILDING HE R F U T U RE (2 0 2 5 - 2 0 3 0 ) The Foundation Board and School Council established and held an inaugural joint strategic planning session to be held annually. The intent, a forward-thinking, collaborative partnership, and aligned approach to supporting the School priorities and long-term viability.

The Investment Committee has conducted a thorough and considered review of portfolios and strategies.

Investment focus has prioritised optimisation of funding allocation, safeguarding the stability and growth of the Foundation’s corpus and individual Funds within the current financial climate.

Significant professional scoping work has also been undertaken for the restoration and development of the Chapel and Theatre – to be the focus of Giving Appeals over this period.

INSPIRING REMARKABLE WOMEN

McCorkell Constructions WA who proudly delivered the Ikey Broadfoot Building with the School community, were recognised with the 2025 Master Builders WA Award for Best Educational Project over $10 million.

This achievement reflects the collaborative efforts of all involved in successfully constructing a complex, high-quality facility on a challenging site, delivered to the highest standards for the benefit of the School community.

The Foundation remains committed to opening doors for girls through scholarship funding.

The Foundation proudly donated funds last year (2024) towards the fit-out of the Ikey Broadfoot building, supporting the School in delivering a facility that will serve and inspire generations of students to come.

An integral, extensive, and impactful assessment of the Scholarship Fund, commitments, and potential areas for growth and development has been undertaken this year.

In conjunction with the review of the Investment Strategy, the Foundation has contributed an additional $2.5 million; $1,713,446 from Scholarship and $786,554 from General Funds; to School Scholarships over a two year period (2024-2025).

We are sincerely grateful for the generous and significant bequests and extended donor community contributing annually to Scholarships.

Annual Giving Appeal HER FUTURE BE GIN S H E RE The spaces our students move through each day shape who they become. Every space on campus exists because of the generosity of generations past.

Revitalising and reimagining our buildings and spaces will inspire girls to become confident, well-rounded women who passionately pursue their dreams and aspirations.

Our Appeal raised $74,545 and focused on increasing our Building Fund towards the upcoming Chapel Appeal (2026), and Theatre Appeal (2027) as a lead up to the School’s 125th anniversary celebrations in 2027.

Living Generously – Growing the Foundation’s Scholarships With every passing year, the collective generosity and contributions of our donors and our alliance with the Old Girls’ Association have been instrumental in expanding scholarships and nurturing the relationship between the Foundation and the School.

Scholarships help sustain the vibrant diversity and outstanding standards of the School by providing girls with a Perth College education and experience who might not otherwise have the chance, while offering a foundation for achieving their full potential throughout life.

“Recently, my daughter Emma went to school dressed as a princess. The theme was dress as what you dreamed of becoming when you grew up. Emma’s time at Perth College is almost at the end, with her set to graduate in 2026. It prompted me to reflect on our family’s journey and the profound impact the School has had across generations.

Our family’s connection began long before my time. My mother, Lesley Keen (née Dunstan), along with her sisters and several cousins, attended Perth College in the 1950s.

Mum is a remarkable woman. After completing Year 12 at a time when many young women left school after Year 10, she went on to study Physiotherapy at university.

Being educated at a school founded by women whose mission was to provide education and opportunity for girls undoubtedly helped shape her aspirations and confidence to pursue higher education.

Now in her mid-eighties, mum still regularly catches up with school friends and her involvement with the Old Girls’ Association brings her great joy and provides meaningful opportunities to give back to a community she values deeply.

Years later, I became a recipient of the OGA Sisters’ Memorial Bursary. Exposed to a broad and challenging academic curriculum. I distinctly remember being encouraged to think critically, question assumptions, and cultivate intellectual curiosity. These foundations helped me ultimately pursue a career in medicine.

My education at Perth College encompassed the holistic development of me as a person. My Year 11 cohort was the first school group in Western Australia to undertake

Outward Bound. Encouraged to participate in activities beyond my comfort zone, I experienced international language exchanges and sporting tours, broadening my understanding of the world. Structured community service provided firsthand experience of volunteering and contributing to something larger than myself.

These opportunities developed skills in leadership, teamwork, resilience, empathy, and global awareness.

Together, they created an environment where I felt genuinely known, valued, and supported. I felt I belonged.

Through networks of Old Girls around the world, Perth College continues to enrich my life 36 years after I left its halls.

I am deeply grateful our family chose Perth College for Emma. She is happy, thriving, and surrounded by a wonderful group of friends who share her values. She has a balanced approach to school life, participating enthusiastically in sport and the arts while working diligently towards her academic goals.

Emma entered Perth College at age eleven as a little girl. She now stands on the threshold of adulthood as a confident, capable, and compassionate young woman.

Emma no longer dreams of being a princess. While not yet certain where her future path will lead, she knows the world is full of possibilities; and understands by living the values so clearly articulated by Perth College—Capable, Courageous, and Caring—she can pursue her ambitions with confidence and purpose.

Amelia Margaret and Patricia Feilman InsideOut Scholarship Since my first day at Perth College I have had endless opportunities to broaden my schooling experience. My final year was no exception. I was honoured to serve on the SLC, developing meaningful leadership skills and contributing to the community that has given me so much.

Participating in the School Musical, Anything Goes was a highlight thanks to the talented friends I shared it with. My year group raise over $70,000 for the World’s Greatest Shave learning the importance of giving back. Through netball I mentored young umpires and connected with younger students – all highlight experiences that marked my final year. I am forever grateful for this incredible School.

I hope scholarships like mine continue to open doors for young women just as they did for me.

Amelia Old Girls’ Association Sisters’ Memorial Bursary I vividly remember my excitement when offered the OGA Sisters’ Memorial Bursary. I have felt supported and deeply connected with the Perth College Community ever since.

As my time at Perth College draws to a close, I remain grateful for the outstanding opportunities through this bursary, passionate and inspiring teachers, and joyful creativity through music. I have accessed countless extra-curricular offerings - School Musicals; Senior Strings Ensemble, Perth College NA, IGSSA, and proudly representing Perth College at the World Scholar’s Cup. I cherish the bonds formed at the annual OGA Bursary lunch. Hearing stories of Old Girls makes me excited about my future and inspired by the sense of sisterhood beyond Perth College. Freya Old Girls’ Association Sisters’ Memorial Bursary Receiving a bursary to attend this school has meant so much to me, as it has given me confidence in myself and shown me that others believe in my potential too. It motivates me to make the most of every opportunity and to push myself both academically and personally.

In my time here I’ve made great friends, joined IGSSA sports, and felt the strength of the sisterhood within the school community. Even in my second year, I’ve come to understand what Perth College pride truly means and how it shapes the way we support one another.

Paityn Wulili Scholarship Receiving this scholarship was life changing. I have attended Perth College all my high school years, 7 to 12. I have created lifelong friendships and a passionate love for many sports. Most importantly I found my true passion for creativity, attending photography, textiles, and ATAR visual arts classes. I have learnt and gained skills useful for ongoing study I plan to do; as well as discover myself as a person, getting to know myself through a visual way.

I am very thankful to the donors who made this journey possible for me and for the future recipients of this scholarship. I will always value and hope that future students will benefit from the same inspiring and supportive environment that Perth College provided for me and others.

Zhounian (Nina) Audrey Fairchild Scholarship I love my scholarship! It’s made me who I am. For days leading up to finding out, my feelings were a jumbled mess. I was sure I had messed up. When I got the news, I was ecstatic, surprised and the tiniest bit nervous. Most of all I felt grateful. I moved from a small town called Parkes to a big, busy Perth.

My scholarship has opened doors to friendship, music, debating, volleyball, swimming, a great learning environment, and Gifted and Talented program. I’m never bored in class! I feel surer in my academic skills and less introverted.

Emma Old Girls’ Association Sisters’ Memorial Bursary I received the Old Girls Association Sisters’ Memorial Bursary in Year 7. Now in Year 11 I am so lucky for all the opportunities. I have had the privilege of such a well-rounded education, that focuses on academic success with amazing teachers that genuinely want us to succeed but also focuses on personal growth and character development.

Perth College has a strong community that comes with it, where both school and house spirit runs deep. I have met the most amazing and inspirational people who have had a massive impact on me.

Skyla Anne Cranston Rural Scholarship From the small wheatbelt town of Quairading, finding out I had received the Anne Cranston Rural Scholarship was truly incredible.

I arrived excited and unsure of what to expect. I had no idea of the opportunities I would be given, amazing lifelong friendships I would form, or the academic support I would receive.

I have discovered a passion for netball coaching, co-coached a Year 4 school team, now co-coaching a Year 7 team. As a boarder, I have the privilege of mentoring a new Year 7 boarder, a role I have found incredibly rewarding. Boarding has allowed me to make many lasting friendships of different backgrounds.

Although still unsure about my future aspirations, I feel confident the support I receive will allow me to pursue any path I choose. I am excited to see where my journey at Perth College will continue to take me.

Evelyn Old Girls’ Association Sisters’ Memorial Bursary During my time in the senior school, I have been involved in academic programs, including the World Scholar’s Cup, Olympiad, Da Vinci Decathlon, encouraging me to challenge myself and explore new areas of learning.

I have enjoyed being part of the school’s music program. Through choir, band, and orchestra, I have developed my skills, collaborated with others, participated in tours and senior school musical.

Sport has been an important part of my school life. Participating in IGSSA sports has helped me build teamwork and resilience; while rowing has provided opportunities to compete at a higher level.

Overall, this bursary has given me access to a supportive community and a broad range of experiences that continue to shape my growth, both within and beyond the classroom.

Savannah Anne Cranston Rural Scholarship I would like to thank everyone in the Perth College community, donors, staff, and students, who have provided me with this chance. This scholarship has had a significant impact on my life, it allows me to experience opportunities I wouldn’t be able have where I live, in Broome, WA. Perth College has given me the freedom to try new co-curriculars, explore subjects that interest me (like Science and HASS), form new relationships, but most importantly provided me with a place that supports me, gives me a family to rely on at the boarding house, and has helped and supported my learning.

Zara Christine Barnetson Rural Scholarship I was incredibly excited and over the moon to be given the opportunity to attend Boarding at Perth College. Growing up on a farm in the small rural town of Binnu, many opportunities felt far away, this means a lot to me.

I have reflected on the many avenues I have been able to pursue thanks to my scholarship, including volleyball through IGSSA and Balcatta Cats program, netball, athletics, and choir.

I love how supportive and dedicated the teachers are, especially during exam times. The sense of community and “Perth College spirit” shared across the school is very special and something I will never forget.

I remain deeply grateful and looking forward to seeing what lies ahead for me continuing to carry the Perth College spirit into the future.

Eva Ngala Yakiny Moorditj Bursary This scholarship has opened doors to things I never thought possible, and to utilize remarkable and diverse opportunities Perth College encourages students to experience and explore.

Day-to-day I have incredible teachers, genuinely passionate, and instilled a similar love of their subjects in me. More than students learning, Perth College is a family.

I have formed, cherished and cultivated relationships with older students and maintained these friendships after they have graduated; and I have people in all my classes I can work, talk with and laugh with a group of friends, who are like sisters I get to choose. I have rarely ever been this close to people my own age. I am so lucky that I have found them.

Alia Audrey Fairchild Scholarship When I received my scholarship, it was one of the best moments of my life - an honour I will forever be thankful for. It has allowed me to attend an incredible school I otherwise would not have gone to.

While at first I was nervous, settling in wasn’t hard with the supportive and nurturing Perth College community. Perth College offers so many programs and cocurriculars that I hardly know what to choose! I’m not too sure about what I want to do in the future, but I’d love to be an author, even if it was just a side hobby. The Perth College English department has been so helpful towards this goal!

Abigail Wulili Scholarship Receiving my Scholarship means so much to me and my family, an opportunity I don’t take for granted. I am determined to make the most of it so I can achieve my best. I hope to become a doctor.

I know how important it is to stay focused and make the most of every learning opportunity.

I am from a small town in the wheatbelt called Wongan Hills, that only offers a district high school that goes to year 10 and doesn’t have anywhere near as many opportunities as Perth College does. This scholarship has helped me in so many ways.

Not only does it benefit me but also my family, knowing I am getting a much better education, gaining independence and learning so many new things along the way. For me, meeting new people and make so many new and exciting memories I will cherish forever is a huge privilege.

I have embraced everything Perth College has to offer and love trying new things, I’m currently rowing, one of the best experiences I’ve had, fun and challenging. I really value the social side of school making close friends from different backgrounds and learned a lot from their perspectives.

Embracing a wide range of experiences shaping me academically and personally, I particularly enjoy debating and mock trials, developing confidence in expressing my ideas and thinking critically. Sport has played a significant role in my journey, proudly represented Perth College in soccer, rowing, volleyball, swimming, athletics, and cross country.

What makes this scholarship so meaningful is not only the opportunities it provides, but the belief and encouragement behind it. It has inspired me to aim high and pursue my aspirations in finance law and entrepreneurship, while also striving to make a positive impact within the school community.

I am truly grateful to have been given the opportunity to attend Perth College.

This scholarship means a great deal to me, particularly as a boarder. Boarding has allowed me to immerse myself in school life, try new activities, and grow in confidence in ways not possible for me at home.

I am in my second year of rowing for Perth College which has been a challenging and rewarding experience. I’ve made some of my closest friends through the rowing program. The co-curricular programs are a great opportunity for me to pursue my interests. I was involved in the school production last year and it was captivating to see everything come together and all the effort that goes into creating a production. It is my second year of debating and participating in the IGSSA dance group (hip-hop) - which has been so much fun!

My future aspirations include studying psychology with goals to become a psychologist or therapist; and travel in my future career and education.

I really enjoy learning and also appreciate the fun events such as Crazy Hair Day which brings the school community together. I love being active and involved in sport and play netball, enjoy SPIN Dance classes, and have played volleyball.

I have a strong love for the farm, animals, and riding motorbikes. I would like to consider a career and build a future that allows me to combine my passions and interest in agriculture, law and justice. This scholarship is helping to create a strong foundation for my future, and I am very grateful for the support I have received.

Foundation Engagement Perth College Foundation events provide meaningful opportunities to celebrate the generosity of our donors, thank them for their support, connect with members of the School community, build relationships with fellow supporters, and experience some of the remarkable programs and activities that make Perth College unique.

SE NI OR MUSICAL OP E N IN G NIGHT VI P F U N CT ION Perth College’s Senior School Musical held in March is always a highly anticipated musical theatre event, the very special 25th Anniversary of the late Anne Hairsine directed production ‘Anything Goes’ was no exception. An evening of spectacular entertainment and pure Broadway magic as guests set sail on this classic musical comedy.

The Perth College Foundation Board hosted our largest attended Senior School Musical Pre-Show VIP Function with over 100 guests attending in recognition and stewardship of their support. Vice Chair Stephanie Fullarton updated on Foundation developments, and guests had the opportunity to hear about the musical production from Jane Artelaris Head of Performing Arts and Director Tyler Jones.

This annual event is a special evening that showcases the passion and talent we have for performing arts at Perth College, and once again was a resounding hit leaving guests thoroughly impressed, entertained, and applauding loudly.

JA C ARAND A SO CIE T Y ‘F USION HIGH T E A’ Our Jacaranda Society Members are a much-valued group of donors, predominantly ‘Old Girls’ who have informed us they have left a bequest in their Will. This year we welcomed two new members.

Jacaranda Society Members and extended guests ventured to Chapels on Whatley for a fusion High Tea. The mix of cultures and flavours fostered and celebrated cherished traditions, communal sharing, and connection.

Guests were treated to a showcase of classical music by 2024 Dux Recipient Emma Ou, and Old Girl and Foundation Photographer, Josie Nolan, shared her experience at and life since leaving School. Both Emma and Josie had our guests captivated adding to the rich experience of the whole morning.

Our largest gathering to date with 22 guests, it was a celebration of the spirit of togetherness, unwavering loyalty and gratitude to Perth College, and enduring lifelong connections with each other.

The afternoon event celebrates the collaborative spirit between the School and Foundation, showcasing the accomplishments of scholarship recipients and vital impact and role of our donors.

Principal, Sarah McGarry celebrating her first-year anniversary at Perth College, took up the MC role and hosted presentations.

This year guest speakers were Year 11 Scholarship Recipients Emma Yu reflecting on being a third

generation ‘Old Girl’, and Year 9 Saoirse O’Brien having recently arrived from the east coast and at Perth College. Both spoke with heartfelt passion, humility, and eloquence, emphasising the life changing impact and importance of their Scholarship, and with compassion and understanding, offering reassurance to incoming recipients they had been in their shoes and available for guidance and support.

Attended by Council and Foundation Board Members, School Leadership, Scholarship Recipients and their families, generous donors, special guests, and School staff, the function room and afternoon was filled with palpable enthusiasm and exhilaration from new students, appreciative families, and donors experiencing the impact of their valued contributions firsthand.

PRESE NTATI ON N IGH T The School’s annual Presentation Night is an inspiring event that acknowledges and revels in the outstanding achievements of students, recognising academic accomplishment, artistic, musical, creative talent, sporting triumphs and community service and leadership skills.

Whilst not a Foundation event, we are delighted to be a part of Perth College’s Presentation Night and continue to sponsor the prestigious Dux of Perth College Prize, awarded to the top academic student in Year 12.

In 2025 the Dux Award winner was Tali Wrobel with a remarkable 99.75 ATAR Score. In addition to her top academic standing, Tali served as an Academic Captain of the School in her final year.

T H E COLOURS O F CH RIST M AS For the first time the Perth College Foundation jointly with Perth College hosted an end of year function bringing together Foundation donors and supporters, and School volunteers and staff.

The ‘Colours of Christmas’ embraced the spirit and warmth of community, friendship, connection, and shared purpose, an occasion of reflection and gratitude for the support received throughout the year, welcome the year ahead, and extend heartfelt appreciation to supporters.

Council and Foundation Board Members Stephanie Fullarton and Yvette Jones shared their connection to the School community as proud Old Girls, past parents, and now in Board roles, and Principal Sarah McGarry reflected on the highlights of her first year at the School.

Guests embraced the spirit of the night with a splendour of Christmas colour, tinsel boas, fun, and cheer, sharing memorable moments and experiences - an enjoyable night had by all to wrap up another big year.

Finance Overview In a landscape of declining government funding, the Perth College Foundation remains a key pillar of the School’s long-term financial sustainability, building on the strategic foundations established in 2012.

Since its inception, the Foundation has demonstrated strong and consistent growth, increasing from $2.4 million in 2012 to $27.9 million in 2025. This reflects the combined impact of sustained donor support, Future Development Fund (FDF) contributions from all new families joining the School and disciplined investment management.

In 2025, the Foundation maintained its focus on community contributions and managing funds to support scholarships, programs and capital initiatives. Total donations for the year amounted to $853,934, with a continued emphasis on giving to ensure flexibility in meeting the School’s evolving priorities. FDF transfers from the School accounted for $690,000, with the balance derived from philanthropic donations and fundraising activities.

JB Were continued to manage the Foundation’s investment portfolio overseen by the Investment Sub-Committee.

The 2025 calendar year was characterised by change and volatility in both global and Australian financial markets.

While the Foundation’s corpus was impacted by these conditions, its diversified portfolio provided resilience.

Defensive assets, including government bonds and high quality corporate credit, played a critical role in stabilising performance.

2025 delivered strong performance across all asset classes for the Foundation, particularly in Australian and International equities. The Foundation achieved a return of 9.89% (net of fees) for funds under management in 2025.

Realised/Unrealised Gains totalled $1,089,263 (39%), representing the largest share of income. This reflects strong realised investment performance during the year, partially offset by unrealised market movements.

Donations totalled $853,934 (31%), with the Future Development Fund ($690,000) continuing to be a significant contributor for the Foundation.

General Fund received $690,000 (81%) from Perth College Inc, being the payment of the Future Development Fund from new families.

These unrestricted funds continue to provide important flexibility in supporting the School’s operational and strategic priorities.

Scholarship Fund attracted $117,559 (14%), reflecting a continued commitment from donors to support student access and educational opportunities.

Building Fund contributions totalled $46,375 (5%), indicating a relatively lower level of donor focus on infrastructure projects during the year.

Responsible stewardship of the Foundation has long emphasised holding a long-term perspective and a deep sense of responsibility for our School’s legacy, the wellbeing of our beneficiaries, and the positive impact that education can bring to our communities.

These gatherings and significant occasions serve as moments for honouring contributions, supporting fundraising efforts, celebrating milestones, fostering connection, and strengthening the bonds within the School community across generations.

On behalf of the Foundation Board, we are grateful to our donors, supporters, and champions from the Old Girl community, giving us the foundation upon which we continue to build.

Our core objective and ongoing goal remains prioritising and expanding scholarship opportunities to support more young women to realise their potential through a Perth College education now and in the future.

Each year acts as a building block toward our overarching purpose. We take deliberate steps forward planning and refining our governance, investment, and strategic plans to ensure continued progress as our corpus approaches its target.

Perth College is committed to educating capable, courageous and caring young women, supporting each one to achieve their personal best and ensuring they are prepared with the skills, passion and heart.

During this significant stage of development, the Foundation is dedicated to partnering with the School to ensure that our priorities are aligned with future focused strategies, and sustainable financial planning; and to diligently steward all funds both donated and invested.

As we look toward 2026, we are excited to cast our eyes towards our upcoming campaigns and Appeals for the Chapel and exploration phases for future projects from the School’s Master Plan, such as the Theatre and Windsor Hall Building Her Future.

Perth College will celebrate and host multiple milestone anniversaries over the next two years – from the 100th year of laying the Chapel foundation stone in 2026; to the School’s 125th Anniversary, 100 Years of Houses, and 30th Anniversary of the Judith Cottier Theatre in 2027.
