Perry Clarke Greene was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and spent his early years in Athens, where his father worked as a minister at the Church of Christ campus. Frequent moves shaped his childhood The family relocated from Memphis to Escondido, California, then to Gainesville, Florida, before settling in Riverdale, Georgia, by the time he reached eighth grade. Despite these changes in the environment, he maintained a steady focus on his goals. From a young age, he showed discipline, responsibility, and determination qualities that would guide him throughout his life.
Nurturing the Seeds of Entrepreneurship
At the age of 9, Perry began cutting lawns and collecting cans, earning his own spending money By the time he was 12, he was helping his family deliver 500 newspapers every morning before school. These early jobs were more than just chores to him they were a means to work toward goals, such as buying clothes and sports equipment At age 15, while many of his peers were still exploring part-time opportunities, he was working under the guidance of a business leader to help open the first Chick-fil-A Dwarf House locations in Riverdale and Jonesboro.

A New Direction
Perry earned All-State and All-Region honors in baseball while attending Riverdale High School After high school, he studied accounting for two years while playing baseball at Southern Union Junior College. Though he once dreamed of a career in professional baseball, his goals shifted toward attending the University of Georgia Without the necessary funds, he joined the Navy Reserve, serving in Hawaii and Thailand during his tenure.
He earned a scholarship to Harding University before transferring to the University of Georgia in 1993. He graduated in 1996 with a degree in Accounting and passed the CPA exam that same year He began his professional career at Ernst & Young, where he gained valuable experience in accounting and business practices
Diving Into Sales
In 1995, while still in college, Perry married. His career took a new direction in 1998 when he joined a family business owned by his father-in-law In just six months, he advanced from salesperson to top salesperson and then to general manager In 1999, he assisted with the sale of the business and transitioned to Taylor Commercial, Inc., a company specializing in siding installations for apartment communities Under his leadership, the company's revenue grew significantly, from $600,000 to over $45 million annually.
Greene gained knowledge from experienced sales professionals and classic sales literature, applying these lessons to help Taylor Commercial expand into ten states. The company completed more than 25 renovations of low-income housing and condominium communities, in addition to siding hundreds of apartment complexes across the region.

The youngest is studying finance at the University of Mississippi.
Greene played a crucial role in supporting his wife’s successful congressional campaign in 2020. Although they divorced in December 2022, they remain committed to co-parenting and supporting their children’s growth and success
