MAKING EASTER FUN WITH THE KIDS
We help you create a day to remember
Easter is a wonderful time for families to come together, enjoy the arrival of spring, and create lasting memories. For parents, it’s also the perfect opportunity to get creative and have some good old-fashioned fun with the kids. Whether you’re planning a big family gathering or a cosy day at home, here are some simple and enjoyable ideas to make Easter special for the little ones...
THE CLASSIC EASTER EGG HUNT
No Easter celebration is complete without an egg hunt. It’s a timeless activity that never fails to excite children of all ages. You can hide chocolate eggs around the garden or house, leaving little clues or riddles for the children to solve. For an added twist, use different coloured eggs for each child, so everyone gets a fair share. Don’t forget to have a prize ready for the best egg hunter.
GET CRAFTY WITH EASTER DECORATIONS
Embrace the season’s colours and let the kids go wild with arts and crafts. Try making paper bunny masks, Easter baskets, or decorating hard-boiled eggs with paints and stickers. You can also make spring-themed bunting together to hang around the house - a lovely way to brighten up your space and keep small hands busy.
BAKING TOGETHER
Nothing brings people together like baking - and Easter is the perfect excuse to whip up some sweet treats. You could make traditional hot cross buns, chocolate nests with mini eggs, or even bunny-shaped biscuits. Let the children help with mixing, decorating, and, of course, licking the spoon. The smell alone will have everyone gathered in the kitchen.
READ EASTER STORIES
There are plenty of charming Easter-themed books that are perfect for storytime. Choose age-appropriate reads and gather the kids for a quiet moment amidst the day’s excitement. Stories about bunnies, chicks, and the meaning of Easter can be both fun and educational - it’s also a lovely way to wind down after a busy afternoon.
GAMES AND OUTDOOR PLAY
If the weather’s kind, take the fun outdoors with traditional garden games. Sack races, egg and spoon races with friends, or even a mini obstacle course can keep the kids entertained for hours. If it’s rainy, bring the games inside - think Easter bingo, pin the tail on the bunny, or a scavenger hunt.
OUR FINAL THOUGHTS
Easter is about more than just chocolate - it’s about connection, celebration, and creating joy-filled moments with the people you love. With a little preparation and a lot of enthusiasm, you can make Easter magical for the children in your life. Whatever you choose to do, the most important thing is that you’re doing it together.

EASTER CHOCOLATE NEST CAKES (NO-BAKE RECIPE)
A simple, fun recipe perfect for little hands and big easter smiles
Easter is all about fun, family, and sweet treats – and these classic chocolate nest cakes are perfect for little hands to help make! With just a few simple ingredients and no need for an oven, kids can get stuck in with mixing, scooping, and decorating. Whether it’s for an Easter party, a treat after the egg hunt, or just some messy fun in the kitchen, these chocolate nests are a quick and easy way to add a bit of festive magic...
INGREDIENTS (MAKES 12 NESTS)
• 200g milk chocolate
• 85g shredded wheat/cornflakes/rice snaps – your choice
• 2 tbsp golden syrup
• 50g unsalted butter
• 1 bag of mini chocolate eggs (approx. 36 eggs)
YOU WILL NEED
• A saucepan
• A heatproof bowl
• A wooden spoon or spatula
• 12-hole bun tray
• Paper cupcake cases
METHOD
• Prepare your tray
Line the bun tray with 12 paper cupcake cases and set aside.
• Melt the chocolate mixture
Break the chocolate into pieces and place it in a heatproof bowl along with the butter and golden syrup. Place the bowl over a saucepan of gently simmering water (make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water). Stir until smooth and fully melted. Alternatively, you can melt everything in short bursts in the microwave, stirring in between.
• Add the cereal
Remove the bowl from the heat and gently stir in the shredded wheat or your chosen cereal until fully coated in the chocolate mixture. It should resemble little twigs or “nests”.
• Spoon into cases
Divide the mixture evenly between the cupcake cases. Use the back of a spoon to create a slight dip in the centre of each one – this is where your “eggs” will sit.
• Add the eggs
While the nests are still soft, place 2–3 mini eggs in the centre of each one.
• Chill to set
Place the tray in the fridge for at least 1 hour or until the nests are firm and set.
TIME TO ENJOY
Bring them out of the fridge and let them sit for 5–10 minutes to soften slightly before serving. Perfect with a cuppa or as a sweet Easter snack.
MAKE IT A LITTLE DIFFERENT
If you’re looking to make these treats a bit more allergy-friendly or simply want to mix things up, there are plenty of fun alternatives you can try. Instead of mini eggs, swap them out for colourful jelly beans or soft mini marshmallows - both are great options that still add a pop of colour and sweetness. You can also switch up the chocolate by using white chocolate instead of milk or dark. It gives the nests a fun, playful look and a slightly different taste that kids will love.
Why use FISKS?
The industry has changed hugely with the development of digital technology - this has created two different styles of agency, the traditional high street agency, and the modern online agency. At Fisks, we believe that the best solution is to be both.
Fisks still do the traditional marketing methods that you are comfortable with, such as high street shop locations with window displays, applicant mailing lists, text and email facilities, linked offices, portals such as Rightmove, leaflet drops, floor plans, boards and branded cars.
These marketing tools have been tried and tested for many years, but with the ongoing digital revolution we have also embraced change. These new marketing methods come in the form of a digital property lifestyle magazine that’s produced in house and emailed to over eight thousand people a month, targeted social media campaigns across all the major platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, 4k video tours of your property for our successful YouTube channel, enhanced portal marketing, and from a customer service point of view, we have vendor log-ins so you can see viewers feedback and offers on your home at any time.

CREATIVE EASTER EGG HUNT IDEAS
Get inspired by our fun-packed celebration ideas
Easter wouldn’t be the same without the excitement of an Easter egg hunt. It’s a beloved tradition that brings families together, gets everyone outside, and fills the day with laughter and joy. While the classic “chocolate eggs hidden around the garden” approach is always a winner, there are plenty of creative ways to take your Easter egg hunt to the next level. Here are some eggcellent ideas to inspire a truly memorable Easter hunt...
COLOUR-CODED EGG HUNT
Assign each child a specific colour of egg to find. This not only ensures fairness (so older kids don’t scoop up everything!) but also turns the hunt into a fun sorting challenge. You can even offer bonus points or small prizes for the first to find all their eggs.
Tip: Use plastic fillable eggs in different colours and pop small treats or messages inside.
CLUE-BASED TREASURE HUNT
Turn the hunt into an Easter mystery adventure by hiding clues that lead from one egg to the next. Each clue can be a simple riddle, a picture for younger children, or even a map for older ones. The final clue leads to a “treasure” – perhaps a golden egg or a basket of goodies.
Example clue: “I’m chilly inside and where your sandwich dreams begin - find me where the fillings live within!”
GOLDEN EGG CHALLENGE
Hide one special golden egg somewhere tricky. This egg could contain a bigger prize, like a toy, a voucher, or a few pound coins. Make it a separate challenge or part of the main hunt – just be sure to give a few fun hints!
GLOW-IN-THE-DARK EGG HUNT
For something a little different, wait until dark and use glow-in-the-dark or LED eggs for a magical night hunt. Kids will love running around with torches, hunting for glowing treasures. Just make sure the area is safe and well supervised.
PUZZLE PIECE HUNT
Before the hunt, take a jigsaw puzzle or print a family photo and cut it into pieces. Hide each piece inside an egg. Once all the eggs are found, the children work together to complete the puzzle and reveal a final surprise.
INDOOR RAINY DAY HUNT
If the British weather doesn’t cooperate, don’t worry – an indoor hunt can be just as fun! Hide eggs in drawers, behind cushions, under tables, and in shoes. Use sticky notes or arrows to guide younger children, or make it a timed race for the older ones.
OUR FINAL THOUGHTS
With a little creativity, you can make your Easter egg hunt an unforgettable part of the day. Whether you go traditional or try something new, the real joy comes from the excitement, the teamwork, and the shared laughter. So gather your baskets, put on your bunny ears, and get ready for some good old-fashioned Easter fun.
