MANGWA LODGE

ELEPHANT POINT, NEXT TO KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Elephant Point is situated in a region renowned for its natural diversity and concentration of big games and is undoubtedly one of the best game viewing areas in the Kruger National Park.

Elephant Point borders the Kruger National Park and is also neighbour to the world famous and exclusive Sabi Sand Game Reserve. The estate is conveniently located only 6km from the Paul Kruger Gate, 26km from Skukuza Airport, or a 5-hour drive from Johannesburg (or a 45 minute flight). Although not in the park itself, the lodges are set alongside the banks of the majestic Sabie River where mighty Elephants can often be seen grazing and drinking – from which the estate takes its name. Within close proximity to other comparable exclusive world-famous game reserves, Elephant Point can be said to be in a league of its own. With every comfort possible, game viewing from your lodge, nature walks within the estate, various dining options available, a mobile spa on call, and intuitive service – you’ll never need to leave your luxurious private lodge.

Mangwa lodge is situated on the banks of the magnificent Sabi River, providing spectacular views over the river and into the Kruger National Park. This unique lodge is a world-class masterpiece with its own allure, boasting a private pool, private deck, private boma, private parking, WiFi, ensuite bathrooms, living and dining areas.

Game you could see whilst staying at Elephant Point include; Impala, Zebra, Blue wildebeest (Gnu), Warthog, Tree Squirrel, Bushbuck, Steenbuck, Baboon, Vervet Monkey, Kudu, Hippopotamus, Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and Rhino. Elephant Point can arrange a game drive with a very reputable and professional operator. Well trained guides are at the beck and call of each client and are always prepared to go beyond the call of duty. They will share with you their vast knowledge of the bush as well as historical and indigenous experiences of the local communities. Extensive use is made of local guides, who originate from the area and are thus knowledgeable as to the best places to visit, and who draw on their depth of rich cultural experiences.
