• No drones • Please adhere to the rules of the West Coast National Park This is a very barefoot kind of holiday and as such sand gets everywhere.

We provide two foot baths and dark towels for dirty feet. Please ensure feet are clean before entering the cottage, this is for your own comfort and keeping the floors clean.

What you need to know: • Hout Huisie is 100% off the grid • Water is pumped from a well and stored in the large green tanks next to the cottage.

• Electricity is provided by two 12 volt batteries and a small solar panel. Use lights sparingly.

• There is a black bin outside for the refuse.

It will be emptied by the cleaning staff.

• Cooking is powered by gas • The fridge runs on gas only • Hot water is from a gas geyser • You are in a very beautiful place. Please respect nature and keep noise levels low • Place the outdoor cushions inside before final departure of your stay and lock all doors

What to pack: • There are no shops in the area so please pack all food,drink and drinking water.

• Drinking water is essential to pack as tap water is salty • Pack board games and books
