Friday 9th October 2026 Year 6 William Holden Residential Trip Tuesday 16th – Friday 19th March 2027 Dear Year 6 Parents, We are pleased to announce that the Year 6 Residential Trip, scheduled for Term 2, will take place at the William Holden Education Centre and Ol Pejeta National Park. It is near Nanyuki, on the slopes of Mount Kenya, about four hours by bus north of Nairobi. This learning adventure allows our pupils to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience while exploring the outdoors. It is also a perfect opportunity to experience what they are learning in science and other subjects in real life. We will leave school on Tuesday, 16th March, and aim to be back at school on Friday, 19th March. During the trip, pupils will be camping in tents provided by William Holden Education Centre. Some of the activities arranged for us include a forest trek, shelter building, a visit to the animal orphanage, visiting the Anti-Poaching Dogs, learning in Morani Education Centre, and engaging in numerous fun team-building games and activities, among others. We will also tour the Ol Pejeta Conservancy to learn more about the ecosystem and the role of the conservancy itself. The four days and three nights will cost 29,000 KES per child; this covers their accommodation, transport, food, and activities for the trip. There will be a Trips Information Evening on 23rd November 2026 at 4:15 pm that parents are encouraged to attend where we will share more details and will be able to answer any questions you might have. Further details, including

payment links and a kit list, will be shared later in the term. If you have any preliminary concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me using cos@peponihouse.sc.ke

Yours sincerely, Cornelius Ondieki Siteki Year 6 Trip Leader
