Recipe of the Week CHOCOLATE MOUSSE (Serves 6)

Ingredients: 3 Tbsp unsalted butter Half a block of dark cooking chocolate or 10 Tbsp cocoa powder

3 eggs, yolks and whites separated 1/2 tsp cream of tartar 1 pkt icing sugar 1 pkt whipping cream 1/2 tsp vanilla flavour 1 Tbsp gelatine Directions: 1. Place butter in a medium bowl break chocolate into small pieces and microwave for 20second intervals stirring between till its smoothly melted.

2. Cool the chocolate and whisk in the egg yolks and set aside.

3. On a hand mixer or with a whisk beat the egg whites until foamy add the cream of tartar and beat till soft peaks foam.

4. Using a spatula fold in the egg white mixture into the chocolate and set aside.

5. Whip the cream and icing sugar until its heavy and firm and the vanilla extract.

6. Fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.

7. Mix gelatine with table spoon of hot water till it melts completely and fold into the mixture till it fully

incorporated. Divide the mouse into individual glasses and chill for 2 hours.

8. Serve topped with cream and chocolate shavings.

Half-Term Photo Challenge Dear Children, This is Mr. Pannu, I hope you are all well and looking after yourselves and your families! I have not managed to take your photos this Term which I really miss, but I hope to see you all very soon.

I thought it would be a nice idea to make you the photographer with a little Challenge, so you can showcase your photography

skills to me and the school.

Welcome to the Peponi Photo Challenge!!!

Here are a couple of Black and White photos I have taken, I hope it inspires you to get creative and to experiment Good luck to all of you and have a great HALF TERM!!!!

1. Take a Black & White photo of anything you like, as long as it is YOUR photo

I will judge all your photos and the winners will be announced on Pep Talk on the 16th of June.

2. Please only take 1 Black & White photo and email it to: intrepidusphoto@gmail.com

I will select a 1st and 2nd Position winner for each Year Group.

3. Please provide your Full Name / Year Group / Class and Age in the email

Winning photos will be displayed both on the School Facebook page, in the next Pep Talk and my Gallery site for you to all to view.

4. Please submit your photo before the end of half term, the deadline is Tuesday 2nd June

Here are some helpful tips: 1. Make sure there is enough light in your photo for Black & White to stand out 2. Choose a great background, not too much, not too little 3. You can use a smartphone or digital camera!

4. Focus on your subject, try different angles and distance till you get the right shot!
